70 /100 628 FRONT ST First place I saw was the distillery, the winery is two doors down. Both over small samples of a variety of fruit liqueurs, vodkas and wines. The winery was packed with a tasting group, and the owner and his wife we’re really scurrying around, but managed to provide prompt and helpful service to everyone. Samples are small, but adequate, and I think not too bad for an unscheduled drop in. The jalapeno apple wine was my favorite. 60 trains per day go by, right out front, so it’s almost like the Twilight Zone version of HOTD. |
40 /100 628 FRONT ST Stopped in on 10.17.2011 to pick up a couple bottles and get the ND "tick." A couple of meads and ciders available for bottle purchase - about $13.99 per bottle. They have a tasting room, but the tasting pours are literally about a half-ounce, maybe slightly less. Hard to actually gauge taste with this volume. Staff was pleasant. |
