“Large selection. Well organized and wide aisles. I went out of my way to visit enroute on a trip based on what I read about the store, not disappointed.“

“This is an industrial taproom. Small bar, picnic tables and an outside seating/ corn hole area. They had 12 of their own beers on tap which skewed light. The imperial stout is quite nice though. Lots of street parking, and they offer trivia and comedy nights. This is a fun little place.“

“Jungle Jim’s comes highly recommended for the international grocery and people watching bonanza - but the 20 or so taps are also top notch. Lots of cincy locals. Solid selection of other typical craft - usually many new to me. You can snag a cup to walk around with or get growler fills. The prices are crazy low - got 64oz growler of crooked stave proginator for $8 last time. Bottle selection is solid and extensive, but very few we don’t get up in columbus. Overall, JJ’s is definitely an experience. If I lived close I’d probably get growlers here regularly.“

“The best place in the Midwest to go for beer. If you want it they have it. They now have 32 taps. And thousands of bottle and cans. From rare beer to the everyday. And food from all over the world literally. 7 acres of food beer and wine.

“Visited this place for one of their beer festivals and perused their beer aisles before joining the festival. They have very tall beer aisles, but they are laid out pretty well. I get the same vibe here as I do at a high end whole foods. They have a lot of international and local, high quality stuff. There is also a bar with what looked like around 20 taps. All taps were craft, and the majority were local beers, which is pretty cool. The beer is located very close to the liquor and cigar section, so a one stop shop if you are in the market for those things as well. All things considered, I would come back here. The only thing is, it isn’t really close to any other beery places, so it would be it’s own trip. I think that’s fine, but I also love fancy grocery stores, which this is.“

“Overview: This place is the American dream. A place where virtually every culture to grace this continent has a place in the form of representative food and drink. To discuss the grocery side of this place would take a book, but it’s worth seeking out by itself. In terms of beer- massive, legendary selection. In my first visit in over a year, I saw well organized aisles full of beer, labeled by state and/or region. There were two fellows who worked wine/beer, and were available to answer questions at different points in my trip. Singles (12 oz.) were located near the back wall. JJs now has a tasting area behind the wine. You can try a variety of beer, wine and coffee. Beer samples are 25¢ each, or you can get a full pour of any beer on tap for $3. There were about 12-15 taps during my visit- all domestic, but varied between local and out of state. You can walk virtually anywhere in the store with your pour (as far as I could tell). PROS: Massive selection, new tasting bar, vastly improved service and organization. CONS: Still old stock to be found on shelves- ***be careful***, some nonsense about not being able to sell single cans (even though I can buy them at other places). This limits the selection of singles somewhat. Can get CRAZY crowded- go early! OVERALL: A destination by itself. You could literally spend a whole day here in the groceries alone. I’d recommend stopping by the sushi kitchen (made on location) for your meal. Then again, I’m obsessed with sushi. Plenty of parking on location.“

“Walked and geeked at beer selection. Took a close look and sighed. Poor international beer selection considering the amount of domestic selection. Lackluster selection of bombers for domestic selection in relation to availability. Crowded but for nought. Meh for Cincinnati. Found a great deal!!!“

“Whether you stopped here to get sushi, live tilapia, lollipops with scorpions in them, or butter from England that is remarkably like butter from the US, you must stop by the beer section. I haven’t even tried the stuff on tap, but I love the aisles upon aisles of 6 packs and racks of singles to choose from. No matter how obscure the beer, I’ve also never grabbed an old skunky or vinegary one here. Last time I went I found that they had rearranged by region, there was about 3/4 an aisle of just Michigan beers. Whenever we visit the in-laws in Fairfield we sneak off here. Sadly, I think there is more selection here than in my entire hometown.“

“It’s an amazing grocery store, with a selection of beer, wine and cigars that can’t be beat here in Fairfield, as well as in the area. 16 taps with a few locals at all times. Make sure you how on a Friday at 5 for pint night. New renovations in the beer department are going to bring in a better selection, and rumors are abound of a beer bar with 20+ taps in the future... Love the jungle!“

“It’s a buffalo wings and rings... Nothing crazy. But they have a great tap selection usually. I am staring at a few nice locals and a few seasonals right now. Food is what you expect. Good place for lunch If you are at the jungle for beer.“

“The coolest store in the world.Simply a must visit. Beer selection is big and a great variety. 1 oz samples for a quarter and you can sample up to 8. More if you are friendly to the staff as they seem overwhelmed. Surprisingly had a few rareties and easy to drop a boatload of money here. If you're within a 100 miles of here, it would be crazy not to visit. Crowded and chaotic but a must.“

“This Jungle Jim’s is quite incredible place as a supermarket. On beer side it’s very good. Quite a lot single bottles, lots of Ohio beers and also international brews. 16 beers on tap for tasting and growler filling. Found two 6-packs (of singles) of new brews...“

“We’ve been here a few times and I have mixed feelings. Sometimes, the beer selection is great. Other times, be careful you don’t buy old bottles. I bought an April Knee Deep Hop Shortage in Sept, for instance, because I was not careful. I also have seen Ithaca beers even though Ithaca is out of Ohio now. On the other hand, the California selection is nice, and there may be some Fat Head’s and other Ohio beers on the shelves.“

“*Update: they sell pints of anything on draft for only $3. You just have to drink in the beer/wine area which is the size of a football field or two.* This is the original location and they seem to have a greater (larger) selection than Eastgate. They also have a small tasting bar with about 6-9 taps where a small sample is only a quarter; plus they do growler fills. In reality, just go to whichever location is closer to you: Eastgate or Fairfield. Fairfield does seem to have a much larger selection of food though.“

“This is above all a crazy stocked international grocery store. Lots of cheese, olives, meat, vinegars, hot sauces and all kinds of random stuff. The beer selection is very good, with lots of micros and imports. There are some singles, but not enough. This is a destination for foodies as well as beer geeks.“

“This is a full international grocery store that claims to have well over 1000 bottles (plus a few pony kegs). It is my go to place since I live in the area. The staff is pretty knowledgeable, and on a plus side, they seem to be able to hold onto their employees who know beer (they do need to hire more help specifically for the beer section for when it gets busy)“

“This place says 1,200 not too sure about that, I would guess more like 800. Still it was a worthwhile trip. Two different places to get singles. The high end foreign beer shelf and the american beer shelf. They have a beer cave which is great for the locals. A few of the bottles had dust. I talked to the kid that was stocking the shelves and he had intermediate knowledge of the beer selection. They didn’t do a real good job of keeping the american singles shelf full. Still a good stop.“

“This place is incredible, any part of an animal you can find to eat. Tis’ likely you could even rebuild your own animal and then eat it. The beer selection was beyond satisfactory - I’ve been around a lot and some brews were near impossible to acquire anywhere else. Customer service wasn’t anything special, but with the size of this place, who could know where EVERYTHING is?“

“I drive up and down Dixie Highway (Route 4) almost every day in the summer on my way to and from Wake Nation, so Jungle Jim’s is a very convenient stop for me. They have the best selection I have ever seen for variety 12-packs, a huge selection of 6-packs, and lots of craft and imported single bottles. However, their single bottles are marked up, sometimes a little, sometimes a lot -- but it’s usually reasonable and worth the option - usually it’s only about 20c over. The decor in this place is second to none - everything from their animatronic jungle animals and their "world class" restrooms, with the entrances looking exactly like port-o-potties. If you’re lugging a long a family, it’s sure to be worthy stop - plenty to see, and TONS and TONS of specialty goods - not just beer, but in specialty groceries from around the world.“

“Really, a great place to visit. The beer selection is just about average for a decent beer store. However, they do have a number of 1/6 bbl kegs ready for purchase from a number of good micro and craft breweries. The food selection is amazing and the prices are good for the hard to find items. Definitely worth the stop, more for the food or if you are in need of a good keg.“

“Selection couldn’t be better, if the beer is distributed in ohio, it is available at Jungle Jims. Service isn’t the same as a specialty shop, staff is helpful but not necessary knowledgeable. Only retail establishment around with extensive 1/6B selections. They do nice job of getting limited items in, right now, big case stacks of Sam Adams infinium, a few cases of smuttynose baltic porter and brooklyn black ops, left hand fade to black, sam smith yorkshire stingo, etc.“

“I thought Woodman’s in Kenosha was the biggest grocery store in America. Then I witnessed Jungle Jim’s. More cheese than I have ever seen in my entire life. So much cheese. The beer selection is pretty darn good. Not a super-large selection of imports but pretty much any regional micro that is available in the market is represented here. Prices seemed reasonable. Certainly not much higher than back home in TN. The selection of little kegs is pretty impressive as well. Lots of glassware is for sale at a good price. I don’t know if the beer selection is more impressive than the Party Source just south over the KY border. Jungle Jim’s certainly has more Ohioan beer. My food rating is for the tiny sandwich shop up front at which we ate breakfast. The donuts and the biscuit and gravy are none too tasty.“

“First off let me say I wish I had a place like this by my house. Awesome supermarket. Massive beer and wine selection. Nice glassware selection. Very solid singles rack. 20 differerent 1/6 barrels in there beer cave.Picked up some Ithica special releases and some items off the singles rack. Place has a little bit of everything. Kinda of a foodies paradise with very reasonable prices unlike a Whole Foods. Not too many places you can get fresh sushi, rare beers, and 4 Tombstone Pizzas for $10.“

“Biggest and best selection of beers in Southwest Ohio. I live about 40 minutes away and it’s worth an occasional trip. Often have lots beers in the shelves that have limited availability elsewhere. Hard to describe anything they specialize in, as they seem to have it all -- Belgium’s, Germans, English, Stone, Unibroue, Ommegang -- they typically stock it all. Be sure and check out the monthly beer tasting events -- often held in the event center next door. They are often well worth the price of admission just to hear the guest speaker.“

“This place is enormous! Quite the experience for anyone who likes food. This is a supermarket and the biggest one i’ve ever seen or been to. They have food from many many countries and isles dedicated to them. For the beer, I have to say I was almost overwhelmed with the selection. They have an enormous selection and with all the people in there it was very hectic trying to pick anything out. I did find some great stuff though including alesmith, the bruery and troegs stood out for me. They also had a ton of imports from all countries that come to ind when thinking of beer. Search this place out even plan a trip to see it, not only for the beer but for the crazy selection of food. It’s the amusement park of supermarkets.“

“Great selection but make no mistake, this is a supermarket FIRST: you need to really look to find helpful staff. That being said, the selection really is top notch and I’d count this along with Party Source and Dilly Deli as the best spots in Cincy for brew selection. They also have a very respectable selection of glassware and homebrew supplies,“

“Visited this past weekend. If you are to visit, give yourself at least an hour. This may give you enough time to scratch the surface. Very nice beer selection. They had most of the well distributed stuff from Cali, just about all that the East Coast/Midwest has to offer, and a wide variety of foreign beers. International food section was huge. Service seemed to be pretty good. Prices weren’t all that bad, normal for craft beer. Must see for Cincinnati.“

“Jungle Jim’s is huge- expect to be overwhelmed. A ton of food, and I barely scratched the surface as far as that goes. The beer selection is excellent. It didn’t have a couple things that I heard might be here, but nonetheless I got the regular and BA BORIS the Crusher, Thirsty Dog Imperial Stout, plenty of Southern Tier beers, a few Great Lakes I had to try, and a few other things before I could take no more of my girlfriend’s disapproving looks. Most of the big American microbreweries are represented (tons of Rogue and Stone, decent AleSmith shelf, some Bruery and Hoppin Frog), there are a lot of good international beers, and a decent shelf of sours, lambics, saisons, and the like. There were 4 different Cantillons when I was there, though I passed on them this time around because they would have racked up my bill even more. However, the prices here overall are very fair, either comparable to what you’ll find elsewhere in the region or a little less. A few were more expensive than expected, but I blame Ohio laws for that. Good, helpful staff. Recommended to any beer seeker in the area. Main downside: this place is in a distant suburb of Cincinnati, so it sucks for city dwellers like me and anyone coming from south of the Ohio River.“

“I’ve never really thought about supermarkets as an attraction, but this place is definitely tour-worthy. Jungle Jim’s is an attraction unto itself, and has a great selection of beer, much as it has a great selection of pretty much everything it sells - olives, cheese, hot sauce, honey, - really everything! I’ve derided both beer pricing and selection in Ohio since I moved to here from Wisconsin a few months ago, but Jungle Jim’s is a definite exception...it is by far the best beer selection I’ve seen in OH, and while I feel I’ve been victimized by Ohio’s minimum-markup laws, I feel like the prices here weren’t bad. They have mixed-sixes, although the pricing and selection on the mixed-sixes weren’t great. But the bomber and six-pack selection were great, and while the place isn’t cheap, it is not as bad as other beer stores I frequent in OH. I didn’t speak to anyone here; no idea what service is like here, but it’s a grocery store - other than getting help finding the hoisin sauce and the Boboli, do you expect from a grocery store?“

“I asked around for THE store in the Cincinnati area that I must go to and time after time Jungle Jim’s came up as a place to experience. In a word, WOW. According to their website this place is 6 acres and expanding. To say I was impressed would be an understatement. There are several rows of just beer and that’s all I was there for anyway (although I would like to go back with more time to spend and fully experience everything this place has to offer). They boast over 1200 different beers. If that’s not enough to provoke a beer geek’s interests I don’t know what is. This place is an absolute must.“

“Holy cow! Food paradise! We only spent an hour here and felt like we barely brushed the surface -- cheese, meat, olives, spreads, breads, everything food -- then move on to the beer and wine selection. Very nice!! We will definitely be making a monthly hour-long trek here just for the latter, not to mention the quality foods.“

“This is a really great place for beer! They have a really good selection of Lambics that I haven’t seen at other bottle shops. The guy working there when I went had a good knowledge of beer and was very helpful when I finally got to talk to him.The place is always busy,so if you have a question or two and need assistance you will have to wait.I’m giving this place a higher rating for ambiance because this is the ONLY place I know where I can get a Cantillon,a good cigar, and walk down another aisle and pick up some fresh Rainbow Trout!!Love this place and if your in the area definitely check it out!!“
