“Intersting location in this small town. Located on a corner by the railroad tracks, kind of in a neighborhood setting. Old style bar feel to the interior, but they've also added a large covered space in between the pub and the brewery with tables and live performances. Darts going on inside. A real neighborhood vibe going on. Cozy, comfortable friendly. And great service too.“

“Small store front place in downtown Albany which seems to being the process of gentrification..but on. Saturday afternoon sparsely populated. Pub itself is quite nice.. small and well furnished..long bar and a few tables on the far wall 10 beers on tap...plus a cider. Server kinda quiet but nice. Prices slightly high for the area Beer I had was very good..cream Stout. Iver all good if you happen to be in the area“

“Had time on my hands so visited this place early afternoon Sunday. First location can be hard to find off Water Atreet..its behind an old railway warehouse on a gravel parking lot. Has deck outside . Server was outside watering the flowers and welcomed me inside.. Really great yet weird anbiance..old 1900s warehouse..turned into a large and welcoming space with plenty comfortable seating and a nice bar. Loads of old car memorabilia. Server was great even though it was not busy. Beers were a mixed bag. They do German styles quite well but i found their IPA and APA lacking. They also have a micro distillery and i was able to taste their Grappa and it was delicious..they whiskey had sold out. Overal nice weird vibe should be nice when busy in the evening. (Call in food or take it in yourself)“

“came in here mid week happy hour time and had two beers, seemed like a crowd mostly full of the local village beer nerds. Place was old school dive feel, but cozy at the same time. My two beers were decent and serviceable. I guess I would return.“

“A quick stop for lunch on a road trip with the family on July 2. Nice little place with good service. The food was fine. The two beers we had were good. I’d stop here again on a road trip or frequent it if I lived in the area.“

“This is a nice little brewpub. Outside seating is available under the covered roof and dogs are allowed there but not inside. Inside is a bit loud and cramped. Dart boards are crowding a few tables. Good was good for bar fare and brews were tasty. Overall this was a fun place but can get a bit cramped.“

“Great locals vibe! We hit it first on a Friday night for a growler. Place was packed with locals enjoying good food and beers. We then came back in on Super Bowl Sunday for some apps and a few growlers for the game. We did the sampler which was 8 beers and had some snacks. Beers were all high quality and fresh. Nothing super out of the ordinary although the Simcoe IPA was top of the list for me. The food was decent but typical bar fare from what I could see. Service was very good and friendly although she was busy being the only server. Add in some games to keep the kids busy and this place is well worth a visit even for families.“

“June 2010. A real gem! Comfortable all-wood room with a "hippy" kind of feel (in a good way). There was a patio area but I didn’t go out. Samplers were a reasonable price and offered a wide range of brew styles. Their jalapeno ale is the spiciest beer I have ever tried, and I learned the hard way that getting through a growler of it is a real feat of strength! A must-stop next time I am out there.“

“Located in downtown Albany. 24 beers on tap and a few bottles for sale. Maybe half of the taps are from Calapooia Brewery locate a ways down the street. Overall a good selection of brews. I have not had any food here, but I have heard good things from people who have. The bar is long and comfortable with several tables nearby. The service was freindly and attentive.“

“Stop in here whenever we finish up the day in Albany. Small but comfortable brewpub located in downtown area by the river. Usually have around 10 taps going of their own brews that cover a variety of styles. Pretty tasty beer. Food is pretty standard, I like the wassabe burger. Service is usually done at the bar. No bar to speak of for sitting, a buddy bar and a few tables are your choice for seating indoors. Has a nice outdoor patio area. Seems to always be a freindly game of darts going on. Have been to a couple of concerts that they hold in the warehouse, lots of fun.“

“Heard about this place for the past few years so it was time to see what it was all about. In the old part of town in a area you ‘d think this can’t be it there it is. A big place with some great beers. An old warehouse with both indoor and ooutdoor seating they do allow kids so that is good for those travling with your kids. They have a small seating arragnement inside for about 20-30 and outside they can hold about 100 if they move some tables. The best part it is all under a huge cover so the rain and weather will stay off of you. Around 15 taps going not all their beer but they had about 10 beers going on this day. I got to try a sampler of beer. 8 different and great beers. Ranging from a light pale ale for the light beer drinker to the heavey stout that had flavor and life of it’s own. Be wary of the hot pepper beer it will make you wish you ate ice cream. It was smoking hot. The flavor was just that it was a beer but so hot and peppery it was too much one could not really enjoy drinking this over and over it was defantly a beer fro a one time try and say I had it beer . The food was regualr pub fare and very good stuff. Had a great time the locals love this place so it has it’s character and charms. If they are brewing they will ask if you want o see what is going on and you might be pitching malts or helping swril the beer as it is brewing. Very nice and friendly staff. This was a great time.“

“They changed the name to Calipooia brewing, but it is still the same place and same beers. Small little pub, food menu is lower priced but good for the buck. They had about 12 beers on tap, some really good ones and some ok ones. Their seasonals seem to be my favorites. Serve yourself and not much to look at, but a good place to sit back for a pint.“
