“Decent little place right on the main drag through Dayton. Bar as well as tables, a patio, with a firefighters theme. Friendly staff. Beers were OK, and overall it had a nice vibe. Cute little town.“

“Right on the main street through Dayton, I’ve driven through dozens of times and it has never been a good time to stop until now. I love the downtown Dayton area; old buildings and some businesses that have been here for generations. Chief Springs is fixed up nicely and with the exception of being fire engine red it blends right in. Fairly small inside, but probably good enough for the size town. Had one pint (Standby Stout) that fortunately was above average to go along with a really nice calzone. Service was underwhelming, at least until who I can presume with good certainty was owner came through. He was a very friendly gentleman who took the time to chat a bit and facilitated another visit from the waitstaff. I’ll come here again when it works out with my trips to the Tri-Cities… if you’re in town you might as well stop, but its not worth going out of your way.“

“As it’s the only brewery in town, if you’re going to stop in Dayton for a beer, this is the place to do it. However, it’s not all that great of a destination. The theme of the place is pretty cool, but there isn’t all that much seating in there. The food and the beer I both found to be mediocre at best. I had a Reuben (wife had a burger), and while mine was decent, hers was not. The best beer for me was the Scottish ale, and even that was only OK. Nothing particularly special abut the place.“
