“Pretty good taplist. Pizza looked good. Taplist won't have anything you won't find anywhere else but if I lived nearby, I'd be in every week or two because they get a good rotation of good west coast beers coming through.“

“It's a McMenamins. Think of it as an upscale, more hipstery BJ's Brewhouse or something. Fine as what it is, beer is surprisingly decent.“

“Nice place. Sort of hard to figure out like a few other McMenamins. In a small mall. Wooden, sort of mellow place. Good service and food. Had about 15 taps, a few really nice brew. Basic pub food. Worth visiting.“

“A friend of mine lives really close to here, and says it’s where he goes to pick up harder to find brews. I’m a little hesitant on this whole "every grocery store that sells craft beer is on the site" thing, but after finally stopping in here to check it out, these guys have quite a selection. Almost exclusively craft beer selection. A ton of single bombers and such, which a couple of surprises, as well as a wide selection of 4/6/12 packs of stuff that you just don’t see everywhere else. Not the cheapest place out there, but reasonable. I didn’t get the chance to chat with any staff from the beer department, other than the checker commenting on nice selections I made. Great if you are in the area, and want to swing in to see whats available, but not really a place I would ever travel to just to go there.“

“The food here is really good, and the selection of beers is decent. They are very pricey as are all Lodge associated locales. I like that they have the Sounders games on and it is a good place to watch the game and have a beer while eating some good food.“

“This place needs more ratings. Great beer selection, lots of cool events, food seems decent (but I’ve never had anything). Worth a stop if you’re in the area.“

“Talk about a hidden gem. This place is incredible. I found this place about a year ago, completely by accident. A good friend of mine moved in to a house about a mile away, and while helping him move, we decided to take a break and grab some pizza. Pretty good gift for helping him move if you ask me. We walk in to this place, being craft beer lovers, expecting to grab a bite to eat. Instead, we were greeted with perhaps one of the most enticing tap list I’ve seen. They have great food (pizza, salads, sandwiches), the usual you would find at a pizza place, but with nice quality. The owner has a great deal of knowledge, love, and appreciation for great beer that it takes to run a place like this. Always a great conversation. Constant brewers nights, bottle sales, and rare finds keep me coming back time and time again. Love this place.“

“A local pub in a strip mall setting. A little run down, but in a comfortable way. Beer is typical for the chain with a great flight of 7 for cheap. Didn’t eat. Not worth a specific stop, but not bad if you are looking to try their beers.“

“Located in a shopping area, it’s part diner and part country bar; the music alternates, sometimes jazz, or country. About 12 taps, but the beers are not very good; the service is a bit slow even when the bar is empty in the middle of the afternoon, also difficult for them to understand a simple concept such as "I want a sample of all your beers"; the good thing is that the beers in general are well described, with technical data too; but there is some confusion at the bar about what beer they have or not.“

“This was legitimately one of the worst brewpub experiences I’ve ever had. Service was terrible - went over 25 minutes without ever seeing our waitress after she dropped off the beer sampler, despite me having to go up to the bar multiple times to get what I need. The beer was awful, too - the porter/stout were mediocre, and most of the hoppier beers tasted really old or had contamination problems. HATED this place.“

“High end grocery store. The beer guys, at least the two I have met, are way more well versed in beer than you’ll find any any similar type of store. The selection is pretty good considering that they can only devote so much floor space to beer. There are some supermarkets that may have more selection but it tends to be skewed toward the lower end of the microbrew range. There are some beers that you will not find in supermarkets, but you will find at CM. The beer guys do watch out for the good, limited stuff and try to get a lot of it. The can’t compete with the better bottle shops, but they do quite well. You do have to ask if they have some of the harder to find brews because they do not always put it on the shelves (to avoid hoarding). I’m glad they’re there; they fill a lot of my beer-seeking efforts.“

“This is a good place to get great beer at a decent price. The pizza is also really good. I had gone here back when it was just a pizza joint, and I thought the pizza was top notch. Now that they have knocked down a wall and put in a pub with a large selection on tap it is even better.“

“Way overpriced, and a bit light on local beer selections. If you really want to get beer on the North End head to the Fred Meyer on 164th Street in North Lynnwood. Much better selection, and much better pricing.“

“Bottom line? Over three stars for pizza. Over four stars for the beer. Five stars, solid, for the service. Average, four stars. In more detail, let’s start with the fact that these guys are in Mill Creek. While not a complete wasteland, Mill Creek is not exactly overrun with an abundance of staff and customers to support a whole scene of good food and beer places. This strip around MCTC is populating with solid sushi, supermarket, indian, breakfast, and other options--among them now a good pizza place with a bangin’ beer lineup. Most of the decent-sized towns north of the county line can now boast at least one beer spot, and this is Mill Creek’s. 18 taps with serious ambition pouring through every faucet. They even had a Cascade keg up from Portland tonight, full of a beer I’d never even heard of (and...let’s just say I’m kinda ridiculous in my enthusiasm for Cascade’s beers). The beers come out of clean lines, poured knowledgably into proper glasses. Better still, the lineup of pizzas, salads, and subs allows you enjoy eating enough food to soak up some of that beer. The pizza is a big heavy doughy delight, much weightier than I would usually order but very good--chewy without being a soggy bagel of a pie. The toppings are flavorful and well combined, but the cheese was looking pretty plasticky and shiny. Not the most flavorful mozzarella in town. But, still, a very tasty and completely edible pie. Reasonably priced as well. I’ll definitely be hitting this place again, more than occasionally. They offer lots of flat screens for the sports lovers, they have open mike nights, and they clearly have a coterie of passionate regulars through at least a couple generations. Solid neighborhood hang on top of being a good beer joint, and those are two things you don’t expect to see much of in Mill Creek.“

“Relieved to find a nice grocery store that carries some great craft selections. Lots of Russian River available - more than most bottle shops in the area. The local selection is a bit anemic and is mostly available in bombers with very little sixers. The price points are on the higher end for just about everything. I wouldnt stock the fridge from this place but in a pinch you can grab a couple of really nice bottles to last the week.“

“You have to hand it to these guys, they really make an effort to hire beer guys to run their beer departments. The Mill Creek store is no exception--the guy has traveled the continent fairly extensively, he has tried a fair number of great belgians and other world classics right at the source. Mostly, he’s just easy to talk to and a cool guy. He makes an effort to get a lot of good stuff in, even if his market tends to be just a mix of whomever walks in. Tons of good west coast stuff, lots of good imports, especially germans and belgians. There’s a whole long aisle of beer, and usually a couple end caps, generally some good closeouts. Plus, even given the fact that the prices are pretty high, or maybe especially because of that, it’s one of the most amazing supermarkets in the area. Its only serious competition is Whole Foods. And Mill Creek is probably the biggest CM outside of Poulsbo, so you get a ton of specialty meats, cheeses, deli stuff, produce, beer, wine, etc.“

“Okay, well this is my local since I don’t get down to Seattle all that often. For a guy coming from AZ this is the best of the grocery stores you could imagine from a beer perspective. Yes, AJ’s in Arizona is nice but the selection is the key. They even have a shelf of highly regarded and aged stuff. While I typically don’t grab that pricey stuff, even the regular/seasonal offerings are great. Helpful staff and prices just a bit higher than Fred Meyer so not too bad. Definitely worth going to.“

“This place will surprise you. From it’s exterior Hollywood-video-esque strip mall glamour you’ll be happy to know that at least the inside doesn’t look like the DMV office just next door. As with most McMenamin’s properties, this place is all about Terminator Stout and fried food...more accurately, tater tots. It’s all about the tater tots. Beers are priced a bit high and the growler to go is priced almost astronomically. They do however offer a nice selection of Edgefield wines along with the normal McMenamin’s lineup. Beware of the Mac and Cheese, plain boiled macaroni with watery instant cheese sauce...yikes.“

“This McMenamins has an unattractive strip mall exterior, and a much nicer and spacious interior. Our service was excellent, but it’s hard for me to judge since we were here in the middle of Sunday afternoon when it was very slow. Our beer was enjoyable. However, nothing impressed me much out of the beer. The food was pretty standard pub stuff, with the burgers being the best thing out of what we ordered.“

“I know it is in a strip mall, but interior is nice. Service was good, food was good, beer was pretty good too. Very busy and the only real downside was the jackass at the bar making a complete fool of himself. He was obviously a regular as the staff played along. Seriously, get a life. He threw a coaster at a waitress and just about hit my kid in the head. Anyways, maybe next time we will sit outside away from the bar.“

“I can knock another McMenamins off the list. McMenamins has two styles either the old antique rebuild an old building and make it new and to a funky sty or they have the Strip mall look and they are all the same. Sorry to say this was the later. I wish it was something neat to see but it was not. I did have a pint and then it was time to cal an end to my brewery trip. Service just as all other McMenamins they can care less. The beers where decent and the food the same pub faire you find at all the others. I wish so bad they would step up the service and get rid of all the strip mall pubs they just are not the same. But it was another place to see and I have been there if in the area and in need of a beer it is a place to stop and you will not be disappointed they have good beer and decent food.“

“Well, it’s in a strip mall, and it’s one of oh-so-many McMenamin’s. It’s not their most charming or emblematic franchise, either, but it’s well set up and well-run.
They do brew on premises, and all the usual suspects from the beer and wine lineups (as well as the food menu) are here. Kitchen is reliable. Full bar but no rare liquors by any means.“
