“Massive place solidly on the beaten tourist track. Tons of outdoor space on all sides of the building overlooking the orchard. Beers were just OK but they had some tasty mead. Food truck. Decent stop just for the place and location.“

“The beer really ain’t all that great, but the place is awesome. Very chill, bring your own BBQ and your dog, outdoor/indoor. Good place to visit.“

“Many beers are okay; a few standouts. Apple Harvest is, unsurprisingly a standout, nice tartness not often found in a fruit beer. Also offers mead and wine.“

“Great spot on a little farm. Caught it on a weekend with live music outside. Beers are a little hit and miss, but an overall excellent experience when in the Apple Hill area.“

“Located about 10 miles east of Placerville, this small brewery has a nice tasting room with a bar featuring 8-10 draft beers, a refrigerator holding bottles of most of their standard brews, and growlers to take away any of the drafts. It’s a fun place to drink, especially on warm days, when you can drink at the outdoor picnic tables. The barkeep is friendly and helpful.“

“Great place to be in warm weather. Been there a couple times during a BBQ. Basically it is like hanging out at a friends big backyard that happens to own a brewery. Friendly locals and lawn games to play. Very good brew!“

“There today. Pretty much as inflames described, but it was a busy Sunday during apple time. It was really packed, so no samplers - but they did provide samples upon request! About 7 taps and 8 bottles. I got a bottle of the Winter Warmer, and it’s probably the best JR I’ve had. Don’t go during bad weather, and don’t park in the damp dirt on a down slope. I saw a stuck truck, so I avoided that! A bit of trouble to seek out, but if you are in the area you shouldn’t miss it.“

“Kinda hard to find this place, but just keep going out on Larsen until you get here. Hours vary so check before you go. Large piece of land accomidates good size parking lot, large lawn with many tables for picnicing, and a brewhouse that holds two breweries Jack Russel and the Wheat beer co. There is also a small bar area inside with a few stools and some pub tables. Selection is amazing a dozen or so traditional style brews to choose from or get a tray of samples. Dog friendly. Owner is a very nice guy, chat with him if you can.“
