“I count 18 taps, but the tap list only says 7. Huge can list: 20 plus another 14 in bottles. This place is a stoner heaven. Had to order NA beer, because manager wasn’t there. Weird, but OK, because I prefer NA beers. Nobody in the bar on Sunday at 6PM, except maybe 8 band members chatting in their leather and studded outfits, clicking their drumsticks on the bar. Kind of cool vibe. I would definitely drop by here for the music after the breweries have closed. Rock on!!“

“14 beers on tap and 3 ciders. Most of the beers are IPAs, with 4 wheat beers. Place is 60% full on Sunday at 5PM. Lots of wood. 2 floors. More of a restaurant than a taproom. Food is highly correlated with business and profitability, and breweries greatly outperform cideries: My observation after viewing many businesses. The beer here is meh. Food looks good. Ambiance is cool, but I’d rather go to Oak Deli.“

“Awesome Cidery: about 20 taps with about 6 house ciders, 6 guest ciders, and 8 beers. Each 5oz sample is an incredible $2. Place has one customer other than me on a Sunday afternoon. Lucky me. Please other raters visit this awesome place and town.“

“Nice little place in Eureka. Awesome selection of 16 taps. Medium to medium plus quality. A few nitro taps. Easy parking. Detailed Beer descriptions. Low price: $1.5-$3/4oz flight. Most of mine were wet $1.5, so my bill was $11 for 7 tasters. Great 80’s music playlist.“

“Visited February 2018. Stopped here on our way out of town. I liked this store a bit better than the Co-Op up the street, but it's also not a beer mecca by any means. They had a decent selection with a bit more variety. Stuff like Faction, for instance, as well as some extra Booth stuff that wasn't available at the Co-Op. The food service counters were pretty solid too. My wife and I also enjoyed perusing the hippie essential oils and incense section.“

“Visited February 2018. Large grocery store right across the street from the motel we stayed at on this trip. The beer selection was pretty forgettable, but they did have some Booth stuff as well as some of the other local options like Lost Coast and Humboldt Cider as well as the usual suspects from the larger regional breweries. Not going to blow you away if you're from bigger beer markets, but it seemed respectable for this area.“

“Visited February 2018. A nice tap room in the downtown Eureka. They have a full spread of the house ciders on offer. They do a lot of different fruited and flavored ciders as well as straight apple versions. They have about 20 different ciders as well as a handful of beers. I thought the ciders were pretty decent overall. There are flights available as well as full pours and growlers to go. A nice little place. Clean aesthetics with a lot of their artwork as well. Really friendly and helpful service. A few other locals hanging out added to the vibe. Would definitely come back.“

“Visited on a sunday evening for some beers and dinner. Pretty crowded, we had to wait a short while for a table. Breezy looking place adorned with cheeky ’exotica’ elements such as large fake spiders and tropical beach imagery. 10+ beers on tap including a handful of seasonals. Ordering half pints on this beer trip in order to try many different beers, I was a bit disappointed to discover that a ’glass’ instead of a pint doesn’t save much, you’d do much better to just share a pint. The young lady who tended to our needs appeared a bit rushed and didn’t know anything about the beers beside the name and style (which she got from a handwritten note in her pocket). Food was simple but appealing, had a nice beef stew. Overall a decent stop if you pass through Eureka, with some rough edges.“

“Beers are decent but a bit dull. Service was rather slow but the placed was packed. Food was great. I had their own ’Famous Hot Brown’ with obscene amounts of roast beef. Delicious!“

“I made the mistake of planning my trip to this area by booking my hotel near this brewery. I assumed I would spend the majority of my time here. I came in, ordered a beer for the wife and I. I saw they had an oysters special. The waitress asked if I would like buffalo, garlic butter, or pesto sauce on the oysters. I asked for buffalo. The oysters came out covered in blue cheese and tabasco. Look. I hate blue cheese. I find it repulsive. But nowhere did they say these oysters came covered -- and there were quite literally covered-- in blue cheese. I did my best. I tried to pick off all the blue cheese and eat an oyster. It tasted like the rotting flesh of blue cheese. I then told the waitress I couldn’t eat this because of the blue cheese. She took it back no questions asked. Here’s where it gets messed up. The waitress brings back 5 oysters. Originally, there were six, minus the one I tried to choke down. I eat one and guess what: it’s warm and watery. The "chef" took the oysters that were covered in blue cheese, washed off the blue cheese, stuck them back in the shell, and sent them back out to me. Not only is that disgusting but that is insulting. It would be one thing if they indicated anywhere that their "buffalo sauce" consisted of covering the oyster in blue cheese. Then I wouldn’t have ordered it. But they didn’t. Instead, they wash the oyster they had already served me so it tasted disgusting. That’s dishonest, not sanitary, and disgusting. We left. I had planned on spending a lot of money at this place. But, nope.“

“I was so looking forward to visiting and was immensely disappointing. I will start with the good as that is easy, the beer is very cheap and well made. The ambiance is an effort to please everyone. While my visit, I had people screaming at the sports game, mothers hanging with daughters, teens and a girl so high she was giggling at her bread. The waiter although sort of attentive had no desire to talk about beer. In fact that is where I am at a loss, a good brewery and the focus of the pub is so far from the beer. Just kitchy, tacky and catering to the masses.“

“Good stop right off Hwy 101, with a decent selection of 12 house brews, 4 of which are seasonals. Beer quality is alright, with very good prices and solid service. Good menu looks decent, with a few options for vegetarians / vegans. Solid spot.“

“I try to go to Lost Coast when ever I am in town. It is a cramp brewpub with lots of character. Look at the chalkboard for the daily selections of beers. The only foods I have had have been appetizers (wings, artichokes and nachos). All of these have been very good and well priced. I can not speak for the rest of the food because I have not had it. Eureka is a small town and Lost Coast has that small town feel. I go there with family that lives in town and they all seem to know my brother-in-law (don’t now if that is a good thing or not). It has been a while since I have been there, bit I try to get the beers that I can not get locally in bottles. I have not been disappointed with anything I have had. “

“This place was absolutely jammed on a Saturday afternoon when I was in – and it’s not really hard to see why. Bright and airy space with lots of exposed brick in an old, heritage building in this quaint little town. Cheap pints and high quality (the pale ale and the Indica are particular favourites) brews make it great value. Food looked tasty (although I didn’t eat while here). Friendly and efficient service. Me likey.“

“For such a transient town LCB made me feel at home. Loved the 8ball stout, and the food filled me up fat and happy. The old building was a nice change from the sanitized places we visited, it was a real brew pub! I felt at home there and enjoyed myself with friends. Good food and good service I put it in my favorite catagory!“

“Interesting building, but kind of trashy, the patrons also seemed trashy, at least the bar tender was nice. The beer was just okay, some specials, which I am glad of. I actually thought the pricing was fairly cheap compared to the SD area, but the beer wasn’t even close to as good.“

“Stopped in here for lunch on 8/5/10. Decent looking place with a typical lunch clientele. Service was very good. Friendly and attentive and when my friend mentioned that he wasn’t terribly pleased with the Fog Cutter, she was incredibly gracious and poured him something else with no problem. Ten beers on the sampler this day and not bad quality overall. Standout for me was the Tangerine Wheat. Food was okay. I got the french dip and the meat was a little tough and stringy, but the fries were good. Pricing was pretty reasonable.“

“I dug this brewpub. Lost Coast is brewery that’s not much on my radar up here in Portland (beervana), but it was a great experience at their establishment. Fresh tasting beer, good pub grub, friendly service. I had a calimari steak sandwich rocked, and the limited barleywine on tap didn’t taste bad too. Lots of merch for sale, beer to go, can’t really go wrong.“

“I really like this place. Sits in a nice building in downtown Eureka. Diverse clientele, almost always hopping. Beer selection is ok, but mainly what you would get in bottle. Food is quite good and varies from standard pub food to nicer entrees. I often make Eureka an overnight stop so I can go to lost Coast.“

“Crowded place in the middle of town. Seems like a popular family restaurant more than a brewpub. Some good beers, but some clunkers too. The food was disappointing for those prices: greasy pub grub, and the normal dinner dishes were bland and overcooked.“

“Decent food and great beer. Always too crowded, and service is only average. As stated, you really go there for the beer. I live here so am prejudiced, but I think this is a great town, and craft beer heaven. In addiition to their 8 flagship brews on tap they usually are pouring a seasonal and a couple "fruit" beers. Oh yes, and Guiness so you can have a Black and Tan if you so desire.“

“This is crappy town that I will probably go back to just to have another beer and hot wings at Lost Coast. It is a wonderful old building with great beers, good food, and a room full of good people. Each time I have been there I have felt right at home. The service has always been good and I always leave feeling better than when I got there. “
