“Visited mid-January 2019 and will be back as I have to hit Sun Prairie for work a bunch this semester. I’m not Woodman’s expert, but I live in a small town and I FUCKING LOVED this place. Ticker’s delight indeed! I could spend thousands in this place and not leave with every beer I haven’t had. Some pretty good shit, too, including a little shelf behind the counter so don’t forget to look there. Otherwise it’s a typical Woodman’s. No service. Well lit clean grocery store. So much beer though.“

“Visited mid-January, 2019 for lunch. Big place with lots of wood, cement floors. Divided up a bit with a mix of big windows, painted walls, and big murals. Somewhat of a corporate feel but big, open, clean, and bright. Bartender was prompt and friendly. I didn’t ask about the beers but he was passing along cursory knowledge to other customers. I ordered the sandwich special of the day (not on the printed menu) and it was really good! Beers range from mediocre to average in general, though one or two stood out and were pretty tasty. They had 9 of their beers on tap this day and two guest ciders, plus full bar. As usual, this place isn’t anything to phone home about but I had a pleasant experience. I’ll be in Sun Prairie a lot for work the next few months and this will likely remain my lunch spot, so must not be too bad!“

“Typical Woodman's layout and experience. A bit larger small format single selection that other locations. Beer selection seemed bigger generally. But the large format stuff was a bit smaller than the other locations. Customer service non-existent, cheap prices. Ticker's delight but don't go out of your way.“

“In a little 2-place a strip center. Looks like it takes up 2 storefronts. Staff was friendly and helpful. Gave suggestions. Small selection but a good one. Lots of local and regional seasonals. 3 or 4 meads, 30-40 large format selection. Large build your own 6-pack selection for $9.99 that I easily filled with stuff I haven't seen elsewhere. They've also got a tasting room nearby that I did not check out. Prices were reasonable. A few snacks, beer, wine, and a small homebrew supply selection. Nice place and well worth stopping in if nearby.“

“Typical Woodman’s in a suburb just outside of Madison - like other Woodman’s, the staff does not help unless you seek them out, but are nice once you do - the selection here is definitely a step above the other Woodman’s stores I have been to, perhaps because this place is relatively new and in a more quite area (with another Woodman’s very close by in Madison, I imagine only the people that actually live in Sun Prairie visit this one) - quite a few six packs and bombers of local and regional craft beer that I have not seen in the other Woodman’s in the past few weeks I have been in Wisconsin (I have been to at least two other Woodman’s in the last two weeks) - as with their other stores, the imports are slightly lean) - this should be a stop if the other Madison area stores are out of something you are looking for.“

“Stopped in on a Friday evening. The liquor and beer section has its own entrance to on the right side of the store. It has its own parking lot that’s pretty big. Once in the liquor section, the beer wraps around the front and far right walls with more coolers and shelf space coming part of the way down the back wall. I was mostly looking for new glarus, but was stunned to find a few barrel aged alesmiths just sitting on the shelf. I built a mix six of new glarus andgrabbed some bbarrel aged alesmith and hit the road again. Really good pricing. $6.99 for the NG and $35 for the alesmith. I’d do that all day. This place is definitely worth the stop. “

“Visited here the past weekend, cool place with a quiet vibe. For sure more of a bar feel than a restaurant, small tap selection but they solid choices, also had a large bottle selection with mainly things from Wisconsin/Michigan. I would recommend it.“

“Sure it could be classier but that’s no fun in Wisconsin. The selection is awesome the people are great. They use the right glassware and will give good advice if asked. Service is at the bar so don’t sit at a table and wait. Supposedly the food is good but I’ve not had it.“

“Hugh warehouse type liquor store on the end of Woodman’s Grocery Store. Good 6 pack selection mostly in coolers along the back wall. Big 12 pack selection along side wall. Small singles selection with decent bomber selection. Some imports. Pretty much your standard offering for Wisconsin micro/imports are represented here. Good prices, only down side is no credit cards. Debit/cash only.“

“I love this little gem in Sun Prairie! They have a great selection of beers and are always adding, it is a blast to discover whats new each time I’m in there. They also have homebrew supplies and seems like they are trying to grow this area. The tastings they have are awesome and I have fould a few beers I might not have tried if I had not tasted them first. Cool Ma and Pop store!“

“Small section of build you owns right when you walk in and a decent selection of micros, though not as good as Steve’s or Riley’s in Madtown. Owner was friendly and all. They had some home brewing stuff and offered classes on brewing as well.“

“I hope this is an up an coming place. Reminds me of From the Vine in Ohio when it first started out. I believe this place opened within the last year. The owners seem nice and right now the concentration is on wine, however from the first time I was there in the winter until recently the beer selection has gotten better. The owners just went to GTMW, so hopefully they saw the culture and will continue to increase the selection. For now, most WI brewers are represented, this place introduced me to Furthermore. Some other micros, DFH, Stone, Southern Tier to name a few. I was surprised to see ST Pumking when I went in today, that has me hoping for more from this place.“
