“This rating is for the Loveland Berthoud Brewing Company. Not sure if this is the new location. Nice building near a nice hotel on the far west side of Loveland on the way to Estes Park. Great Service with decent prices. About 10 beers on tap. Seemed to be a popular place of the pizza they make on site. Nice enjoyable visit.“

“Berthoud Brewing has a small space with a short bar and just a few tables inside. Lots of wood in the interior makes it feel like I'm in a taproom in Colorado. They've got a few tables out on the patio which we took advantage of. They were quite busy on a Thursday, there were still several people lingering after the posted closing hours. Looks like they were staying open late on that particular night. The beers aren't as experimental as at City Star. Mostly hoppy or fruited takes on American or English styles. They seemed fairly solid for the most part, the hoppier stuff just a little rough around the edges. Considering the size of this quaint cowtown, it's nice to have a couple breweries around.“

“Downtown location with a smaller interior in an old building. About 10 tables and a few barstools inside. 10-11 beers on tap, 6 mainstays and a few specialties. Most are pretty good. A little better than the other brewery in town. Worth checking out if you’re in the area.“

“I feel bad for these guys. Open less in than a year and empty on a Saturday night. Tinted windows, no cars out front, no people visible inside, and the patio turned-down, it looked like someone closed up shop but left the neon Open sign on. Alas they were open, and pouring 8 different beers, all of them Anglo-American in character, including the "Farmhouse RyePA" which was anything but a Farmhouse Ale. Low 2 scores for the two beers I tried, and little on the menu to bring me back. This place seems to lacks vision and direction, just going along with what they think the culture of beer is in the US right now.“

“City Star is right in the small historic downtown, though there isn’t much else around. For just being a taproom, they have decorated and spruced up the place quite a bit. Just at first glance from outside I got the impression they might have a kitchen. It was pretty crowded on a Saturday afternoon. The locals around here are farmer types and friendly. They have ten taps but two were out on my visit. A beet saison was the most unusual with a wheat beer and a pale ale on the more conservative end of the spectrum. I thought the pale was good.“
