90 /100 Marché du Village (DBSQ) (Grocery Store) 98, ROUTE 235 Been waiting to see this place since 2018, the only place I know that as an aging section. Fantastic idea, yet their reserve need a bit of replenishment. Great collection of locals. |
82 /100 Marché du Village (DBSQ) (Grocery Store) 98, ROUTE 235 A small town with a large craft beer selection, a good liquor selection as there’s no SAQ in town, a cellar just for aging beers and for those who don’t like craft beers still.. they have a gigantic fridge room where you can pick up 30 packs of macros like Labatt 50 or Bud Light. This is how rural beer and liquor should be when a government liquor store is nowhere near by! |
78 /100 Marché du Village (DBSQ) (Grocery Store) 98, ROUTE 235 A grocery / gas station / convenience store just off 10 highway. A nice beer selection with fair pricing. There is staff to guide you, I didn’t needed help but they seemed friendly. What’s good about the place is they from time to time have stuff you can’t find elsewhere or with difficulty. For example I bought the Super A from Auval they also had Herbe à Detourne from DDC even before the regular distribution started. There’s plenty of parking. |
80 /100 Marché du Village (DBSQ) (Grocery Store) 98, ROUTE 235 Visited on a week day afternoon. Very large store with a good beer selection. The clerk assigned to the beer department had a pretty good knowledge about beer. He knew more than your usual beer store clerk and not just by brewery reputation, but because he actually tried the beers and had an interesting opinion on them. A+ here. Selection is pretty good and include beers not widely available elsewhere. They even have their own (overly priced) Scotch Ale which is the first in a series of ageable beers... because they also have a small "closet" that they call a cellar and you can visit only with the clerk... which I thought was pretty funny because who the hell will stole a 3 years old St. Ambroise Vintage? Price are a bit high on some stuff, but mostly reasonable. One of the good beer stores of the province. |
84 /100 Marché du Village (DBSQ) (Grocery Store) 98, ROUTE 235 A big beer store, lots of stock, not always fresh but you can find rare beer that are not available anywhere else. Prices are also really good. |
