“Visited Wed 15 Feb mid afternoon & again Sun 19 Feb mid afternoon. Relatively busy on both occasions. 3 guest beers on the former occasion, just 2 on the latter. A different beer from local brewery Bespoke was one of the guest beers ; Raging Ale (Wed) & Saved by the Bell (Sun).“

“Stopped by on a Thursday night, October ’13, whilst driving to Hereford. On one of the main streets in the town centre the Mail Rooms is a large open plan Spoonerium offering more light than most and an airy feel. Seating is a mix of booths on the side opposite the bar and tables with wooden and soft seating in the middle and bar side. 6 cask lines and visiting during the Autumn festival 4 of these were fest beers, the other 2 generic cheap offerings. The 3 cask ales I sampled were all in good nick. The place was moderately busy with a mix of post work drinkers and older groups. Service Ok for a spoons. As spoons goes this one is pretty good, largely due to the natural lighting, the fact no one else was at the bar and I visited on day 2 of the fest so got 3 ticks for £2. On another day it could well have been dog shit!!!“

“On the high street after you turn the corner from the bus stops (there’s no train station here) in a pleasant building a notch up from those some of the many shops that are around it are housed in. It’s a busy market town so there’s a fair few people around in the daytime, expect an older crowd in the daytime as tea and coffee mornings are clearly popular in this town. The central and largest area of this ground floor pub is quite bright given there’s two skylights in the ’v’ shaped roof. It’s more than comfortable with the usual soft furnishings, but the furniture is quite densely packed in aforementioned main section. For spillover on warm days there is a pleasant patio area at the rear. Ale on two rows of pumps.“

“Lovely little shop in the town of Ross on Wye, just up from the market building. The town is full of charater and so is this little shop. Its so nice to see these shops still in existance. Past the cheeses, the meats and the chutneys towards the back you will find a wall with local real ales, ciders and gins. Some of the beers you will have difficulty finding, even in Herefordshire. Great find.“
