74 /100 Compass Ale House (Bar) 7 MANOR RD, Visited on Wednesday 23rd December as the last stop of my Gravesend extravaganza.
Micropub situated a couple of minutes walk from the station at the top end of town. 3 rooms, one for customers which was busy, middle room for staff, storage and access to toilet and the beer room at the back. 4 beers on, all looked interesting. One I had in great condition and the best of the night.
Excellent micropub and worth popping in. |
68 /100 Robert Pocock (JDW) (Bar) 181-183 WINDMILL STREET Visited on evening of 23rd December 2015. Large Spoons between 2 shopping streets in Gravesend. Bar on the higher level had decent range of Christmas and Spoons collaboration beer. Opted for Westerham Double Stour. £2.55 a pint. Served quickly and in good nick.
Reasonable crowd in. Not a bad Spoons. |

94 /100 Rum Puncheon (Bar) 87 WEST STREET Large selection of beers on tap. National, regional and local brews changing regularly. Also has festivals with cask selections, good local cider event in Summer 2013. Serves good food too. |
80 /100 Somerset Arms (Bar) 10 DARNLEY ROAD Excellent pub - rambling and atmospheric with plenty of wood and brick and three clocks giving the time in New York, London & Sydney. A good range of ales - some regional, some micros. Won an award several years ago for Best Town Pub in Kent. Free newspapers & decent food.
