“New brewery in The Jax beach area. We brought a pizza in for dinner and beer tasting. There were other patrons with their dogs. The beers were good. You can see the fermenting tanks etc just behind a glass wall. They sell canned beer, but you can not drink the cans in the brewery tasting area. They have bar tables and picnic tables near the brewing area. This is an easy brewery to visit on Beach Blvd. They do have guest taps, but I focused on the their beers.“

“About 13 beers on tap at the time of visit, plus 2 guest taps with cider (Engine 15) or other beverages. All beers were very good or better. No dark beers but plenty of IPAs. Fairly spacious, if a bit austere with a large glass window revealing brewery operations. Friendly, efficient service.“

“A casual brewery with a moderate amount of space and an ever-changing list of beers. There seem to be at least 15 on tap at any time, with some regulars and some newbies. Good variety. Popular with locals.“

“Located not far from the beach, this cafe has a patio, a small U-shaped bar and an indoor dining area. There's also a small bottle shop in the front featuring local and international brews. There's an enticing pastry case between the bar and the shelves of beer and wine.“

“Visited later evening on a Tuesday. Parking is on the street next to the building, or a small number of parking spots right in front. Layout of the interior is bare bones, certainly built for crowds. Seats at the bar, or around the front room. There is also an outdoor deck. Foosball table up front. There is an entire open room in back with the brewing equipment, as well as picnic tables, ping pong, jenga, full size connect 4. Foosball table outdoor deck. Selection is 16 house beers, focused on adjunct beers, though creative and fun. Full pour, growler, or 4 beer taster for $5. Dogs welcome. Friendly service, fun welcoming crowd.

76 = ★★★ (Worth the visit, must for locals, and visitors with time)

I only use the total score, not the component parts.“

“Visited after dinner on a Tuesday. Easy to find in a strip mall. Big parking lot. There is an outdoor sidewalk patio, though seemed mostly just a place for smoking. Inside, the room is quite narrow, with a long bar down the right hand side with a bunch seating, and high tops along the left wall. Some seating around the front corner as well. A few bar games in back. Beer selection was strong, with 54 beers total, 20 of which were house beers, the remainder were really unique and harder to find national and import craft. Selection was clearly displayed on the draft board, which is powered by untappd - so should be able to find current selection in advance. Full pours, or a 4 beer you choose house beer flight. Available as growler to go for most house beers, 3 bombers and 3 different six packs available to go.I visited on trivia night, and it was loud, boisterous and fun.

82 = ★★★½ (Solid place, near the top of the list for locals and visitors)

I only use the total score, not the component parts.“

“Visited on 6/7/15 Ambiance: Nice looking place with a long bar that can hold 15-16 patrons plus tables along one wall and in another alcove, small patio out front and a game room in the back Service: Decent, bartenders were friendly and knowledgeable Selection: when I went, they had about 13-14 house beers and another 20+ guest taps. The house beers were a nice array of different styles but tier beers were medicore. The guest taps were decent and also a good array of the various styles. Food: Decent enough, no complaints. Had the Bratwurst on UDBeerNuts recommendation, which was good Value: Prices of beers were between the 6-7 dollar range per pint, which is about average for the area. Food prices were decent too. Overall: A nice place to visit but their beers were really lacking, but they had solid enough guest taps to make the place worthy enough to go to“

“Visited for a late lunch and a beer while visiting the area. Overall a great brewpub with minimal frills, basic food menu with quality choices, and a great beer selection. You must order at the bar and the kitchen is limited, but I’m fine with that and enjoy the beer focused atmosphere. Good selection of their own beers (>10) and also over 20 other quality choices. A great place overall and probably best in the area.“

“A large place in a strip mall, dated and a bit dingy. The back has old video games and skeet ball which is either lost of fun or distracting depending on your mood. Service was OK, although not really friendly or helpful Selection is tons of their beers and tons of guest taps as well. They serve samplers and theirs are well priced. Local brews are pretty bad, but the addition of tons of guests makes this place pretty good.“

“Dogs, college students, hippies and families. You name it they are here and are noisy. Games and TV’s in the back and seedy sticky bar up front. Service was quick but not really beer focused. Selection was large and OK, but nothing all that great. Prices were pretty decent though. Lots of ticks and a few interesting beers at the right price make this an OK place.“

“Warm, friendly, messy bar setting. 12 of their own brews on tap, as well as 30 or so other respected choices on tap. The bartender was patient and helpful, the Engine 15 beers were good to excellent, the food looked reasonable, the beer flights were $5 for four 4 oz. shots. My only complaint? Too dim to easily write down my notes. Fun place.“

“came here on a Saturday afternoon. a pretty large seating area with a decent size bar. had 14 beers on tap from themselves that represented a good crosssection of beer styles. had a few pints and some banter with some local beer bros. Service was good and knowledgeable. will return.“

“came here for a few brews and maybe dinner. located in a small strip mall on US-90 with ample parking. pretty moderate size bar, minimal seating otherwise. i agree with Dr. Owl.. it does have a weird aroma. had a bunch of stuff on tap. I’d venture a guess and say 50% was their brews, other 50% was CCB, Ca brews, one tap from swamphead, and a few other misc beers. overall selection was decent. I only drank their beers and I thought they were more than passable. I had a brat for dinner and it was good. in terms of cost I had 4 beers and a brat and it was $17.50 before tip. May have been happy hour prices but I left feeling happy with change left in my pockelt“

“Yet another Jacksonville brewpub located in a strip mall. Some outdoor seating with ample indoor seating and a long bar, a few TVs. They have a very extensive tap list - probably 50+. And a bunch of their own beers as well. They had some interesting beers on - I tried the rye saison, cabernet-barrel aged golden ale, IPA, and brown ale - all were good, some excellent. The food was not great, mostly pub fare. I had a gyro that was light on the meat and the pita quality was poor. It was ok, but not a place I’d get food from again. Overall, atmosphere was a bit odd, but the beer menu makes up for it - lots of choices and the house beer is good too. I’d come back, but it wouldn’t be first on my list.“

“Probably my second favorite brewery in Jacksonville (well it is actually in Jacksonville Beach in a high density business/strip mall area). Pretty laid back inside and as mentioned, there are ping pong tables and other games in the back room. They make some unique beers, some were not as exciting as anticipated, but overall quite tasty. I got to try a Brett pale ale, pilsener aged on grapefruit peel, and a saison made with lemongrass, honey, and citrus peel. They have a few of their own bottles available for sale (special release type stuff) and a guest tap or 2. Overall a must stop in Jax.“

“This is a very beer-centric venue, with on-site brewing, educational brewing programs, and a craft beer clientele. Very good tap selection with a broad range of on-site brews in additional to a fine selection of most American brews. During one visit, guest brews included Cigar City (2), Sprecher, Smuttynose, Six Point and Terrapin. Very speedy service given the rather pressing demands from a multitude of customers. UPDATE: having revisited several times, this has proven to be a reliably satisfying beer destination, that sometimes suffers from slow service. but has good tap turnover.“

“This is a cool little spot down by the beach. The front room offers tables, some couches, and the bar to sit while enjoying the beers on tap. The back has ping pong and jumbo jenga to play. They always have a solid selection of beers on tap, mostly theirs obviously, but they do host beers from other breweries. Overall it is a great place to chill out and enjoy some truly great beers.“

“The only thing I can really add to the previous 19 reviews is my disappointment that, with the exception of their Nut Sack Imperial Brown Ale, my only house-brewed choices were saisons & IPAs. I’m just not a huge fan of either style as many folks have probably discovered by now. It’s like me driving to Hill Farmstead to be saisoned & IPAd to death. Not-gonna-happen... especially since Hill Farmstead is probably another 1000 miles north. Actually, I will rate this place higher than I would HF due to the food menu, the plumbing. and seats. My BBQ/Cuban fusion sandwich was respectable and piled high with pork & smoked ham. Did I mention this place is heated amd I didn’t have to drive down a long, winding dirt road to get here? Big selection of guest beers too.“

“This is a wonderful brewpub on Beach Blvd. The Jax brew bus had guests touring the brewery. They promote beers other than their own. The State of Florida flag was hanging from the ceiling. Caleb my bartender was helpful in suggesting beers. The place was packed watching college football. They tried canning awhile back and it went flat. They will try again.“

“Visited here during RBWG 2013. Awesome place. Beer quality is extremely high and they offered taster trays so you could work your way through their substantial list of offerings. In the back they had jumbo-size Jenga and a ping pong table. Out front they had live music. Bar staff was friendly and helpful. I would absolutely hang out here if I lived locally.“

“Visited during RBWG 2013. Really decent spot overall. This folks who run this place hosted us in the brewery section of building and put out a great food spread and a few beers on tap. The beers were generally pretty solid. The bar section of this place was busy during our visit. They offer a good range of house beers in addition to a nice mix of local offerings. Great experience overall. I would return.“

“Visited as part the RBWG JAx bus tour. We had an area of the actual brewery partitioned off for us as part of the tour. A couple special beers including a cask ipa/pale ale IIRC. Beers were solid, food was so-so. GT and I escaped to the bar area to try a sampler set of some other beers they had on tap (some theirs, some other florida brews). Probably spent the least time here of anywhere for whatever reason, but from what i saw and tasted, I would probably give this spot another try. Seems like it could be hit or miss.“

“Visited as part of RBWG Jax bus tour. Last stop. I was back at it by now (drinking that is) and this spot was hoppin. Bar, dining area in front with a small stage and dude covering sublime sublime (very fun for how drunk/tipsy i was). Sweet "game room" in the back with human size Jenga and a ping pong table. Would def visit often if I was a local. Apparently one of my cousins favorite places (she lives in Jax beach). A few sours on tap and a few other solid beers. Another nice addition to Jax’s growing craft beer scene.“

“Nice location down by the beac, very laid back vibe if it weren’t for the packed house on a Friday night. Ping pong and giant jenga to have fun with and live cocktail lounge type music.Service was alright, curt and to the point but understandable due to the crowd. Lots of solid stuff on tap, all of which I believe was theirs. Decent value for the area, definitely one of the must stop breweries in Jacksonville.“

“Nice big wood bar and sweet little patio. Service was great, very knowledgeable but a little on the slow side. Selection was great, their beers were all pretty solid and the guest taps were pretty good selections. Food was pretty good, updated pub grub. Value was solid, a little hard to figure out their whole tier system at first, but not bad prices. Good place to visit if you’re out by the beach for sure.“

“One of the best places I have been to in Florida solely owing to beer selection, though I also liked the patio. In a strip mall near the coast. A long bar, with knowledgeable staff who asked the question of those who did know if they didn’t. Decent house beers, with some very good guest taps.“

“This place is an odd mix, with an art house/ sports bar/ ping pong table game room vibe. They have a long bar with lots of their own beers in a wide variety of styles. They had a ping pong table in the brewery area and other board games and cards for people to play with while they drink. They do give information about food that can be brought in, but they do not have food there. It is a great place to drink when near the beach.“

“This place has a huge tap selection that almost makes the beers that they make redundant. There are very few tables and the place does have a dive bar feel. They have a small soup, salad sandwich menu. Worth stopping by for the other beers but not really a destination for the Engine 15 beers.“

“Dark place that was practically empty when we arrived on a Saturday afternoon. We sat at the bar next to a guy ordering jug wine and putting ice in his glass...

Our service was prompt and friendly, but they didn’t seem to have a super working knowledge of what was on tap.

A lot of taps with a good mix of selections, but nothing special. Only 4 of their beers were on tap upon my visit.

We got chips and queso as a snack and it was good enough.

Cheapest pints are $4.50 - again, not sure what it is about Jax that raises pint prices.

Overall, I’ll be stopping by this place whenever I’m in the area (to go to Green Room), but otherwise it doesn’t seem like anything special.“

“Sort of a hip joint on the beach. It was pretty busy when we arrived and there was live music happening - a dude singing with his guitar - not bad. There were also a bunch of dogs in there, which is cool by me, but people may want to know that it is apparently very pet friendly.

My service was spot on, quick, and they knew enough about the beers to talk about them.

Plenty of their brews on tap and plenty from other FL breweries as well. A good mix, I’d say.

$5 for every pour seems high to me, but I guess I’m not used to big city/beach life. I’m used to getting most of the beers I want for $4.

In my opinion, I’d have to say this is quickly becoming the best brewery in Jax. I live kind of far away, but I’m going to do my damndest to stop by there at least once a week! “
