“Huge facility, not far from the I-95 corridor. Have enjoyed some of their beers as far north as Virginia, probably due to them selling out to the big corporate overlords. But I'll try not to hold that against this place. Very inviting space except when trains unexpectedly came roaring past the big open garage doors, scaring the bejesus outta me. Big facility = big beer list. Stayed for a few, all of which lived up to the promise. Service was efficient if semi-aloof. To be fair, she was trying to keep a lot of people happy. Limited menu ... some of my group had brats, which they enjoyed. Can't say I'm a fan of their business association, but do like me some Funky Buddha. Brewery #942.“

“Top stop in FTL, though it's a little ways from the downtown area. A large open space, very large bar. They have an extensive tap list, so I went with a sampler. They do have some unique/flavored beers such as a ginger IPA, peanut butter & jelly beer, rice ale with vanilla and peanuts, french toast beer, chocolate porter with cocoa nibs, imperial stout with coffee and vanilla beans, maple bacon coffee porter. If you're into these kinds of beers, you'll be right at home (of course they have the standard styles as well). As for food, I just got a meat and cheese plate, which was decent. Overall, really enjoyable place, lots of tasty and unique beers.“

“Nice open space with lots to do, comfortable. You can tell they dumped a lot of money into this place. I didn't really like the service setup where you appeared to have multiple servers, so you didn't get real attention, had to flag people down multiple times. Really strong selection of the all sought after barrel aged beers, plus almost all of those in to go bottles. Quality as lacking. As they have scaled quality hasn't. Morning wood, wide awake, last buffalo etc we're all good but not like they used to be. Cool spot but I wouldn't go out of the way.“

“Big place with high ceilings and an electic vibe. Music was blaring and it was generally very loud, so not exactly a relaxing tasting room. Regardless, there's a big taplist with 16-18 taps. Custom flights of 4 available for $9, or 5 for $12 (whoever did the pricing failed high school math) - excluding BA beers. Single taster pours available too. Very friendly service, only too happy to help. A few bottles available to go as well. Big food menu, with only a few vegetarian options, nothing vegan. Beer quality is stellar.“

“Went back just last week (December 2017) and was disappointed. A bunch of very average new beers on tap. They have food now which was good, but overpriced. At least they sold bottles of Morning Wood and Last Buffalo ($25 each!). Usually I don’t get super hyped about the types of beers that Funky Buddha brews as they seem to tend toward the gimmicky side, but this brewery is certainly an exception. Making amazing tasting beers with stuff like sweet potato and others. Friendly service, reasonably prices flights. Lots of taps to try. I’d come back for sure, especially as they seem to rotate fairly often. Food at the food truck outside was expensive but good, and you can bring it in.“

“This place is great. Super family friendly, huge, lots of pallet wood and tasteful neon signs adorning the wall. Board games, bags (around here we call it cornhole), great food (try the gourmet popcorn), and attentive service. Our glasses never got empty. Busy but not overly loud. The crowd seemed to be knowledgeable beer drinkers, not people out to get drunk. Lots of families but if you don’t have kids don’t let that scare you off. There is still plenty of fun to be had. Sadly I was on vacation, but if I lived near here I would visit all the time. The only negative I can think of is that their take home bottle selection is very limited. Check this place out if you are in the area.“

“Superbowl Sunday. Not overly packed but busy. Easy parking across the street. WIFI available. Flights available I don’t remember the exact cost but not bad. Server was top notch and knew the beer. Selection was plentiful. Beer quality was far better than average. Nice open seating beside the bar area and seating outside as well. Music was there but not over the top,“

“Latest visit fairly late evening of Wednesday February 1, 2017.
Parked just across the street. No food truck this time. Not overly crowded, but plenty of people. Had a light food snack that were rather good from their kitchen. A few flights of beer. Easy enough to get a tab started. Fast and friendly service. They could turn down the volume of the music though.

Visited during the evening on Wednesday January 21, 2015.
Got there by car, quite the drive up from Hollywood Beach (Ft Lauderdale), seemed to be some parking outside. Had great food from a food truck outside, but not rating it since I guess it is not part of the brewery. Had some 14 of their own beers on, plus some from CCB and Tequesta, total of 21 taps I think it was.
Their standard beers were good, but the others were more gimmicky than anything else.
Pretty big place with plenty of seating, also a long bar with plenty of servers working it. Nice fast service, no problem getting a tab running using your card. No problem getting 4 beer flights served with some small nuts (?) to clense your palate. Nice bathroom. Tried getting some bottles by the singles to bring back to Sweden, but only sold on premise in 6-packs.“

“Busy and packed on a Tuesday even, but lots of space and a huge bar, and if it wasn’t raining a lot of outside space too. Service was great, on top of it and knowledgeable, really welcoming. Great selection of core beers and special brewery only offerings. Food looked good, but didn’t order any. Definitely a south Florida destination.“

“Came in on a Monday evening and it was a busy happening place. Trivia was going on. There aren’t ever enough options on a Monday and this was a good stop. Beers were solid and interesting. I had two flights of four. One flight was their Hop Stimulator along with three variations of it. Food was very good. I had a BBQ and my wife had a white gravy over fried chicken dinner. Both were very. Good. Parking is across the street and it was free and enough space. Service is knowledgable and friendly.“

“A big airy and popular taproom next to already quite big microbrewery in the industrial area. Lots of beers on tap - both regular and limited ones. Flights available. Service ok. T-shirt shop. Because of reputation I expected from their beers.“

“Huge facility right off Dixie Highway. High ceilings and a very long bar. A long narrow table for seating and several four tops strewn throughout. Some have living room chairs for seating. The service here is patient, helpful, and courteous. Walking past the bathrooms will bring you to the food service area. Good menu of mostly bar food. I had the BBQ pork shoulder sandwich with their homemade chips and BBQ sauce. It was very good. Several beers were on tap. T-shirts, other merch, growlers, and bottled beers may be purchased. My buddy is the new brewing supervisor, so we looked around the brewery with him. Huge operation. A lot of space and most of it’s being used. Interesting note is that most of the spent grain is picked up by a local farmer. The farmer promises to give FB a cow that has nearly exclusively been fed spent grain.“

“The place itself is a nice sports pub style place with TVs in every corner. Normally crowded and full of people talking about work. The Budda has done well in bringing back both brew pubs and fighting the INBEV beer transportation monopoly. Typical over experimented Ice Cream Parlor Flavored American brew pub flavored beers. Who needs flavored beer with artificial apples, blueberry, and hot peppers in it? Some people do and they can have it. That being said they have some excellent traditional brews as well. Being that I only rate German styles I will leave it at that.“

“Big store with one of the better selections in Broward. They have a big section for singles, too, which helps, and a small growler station as well. Close to Funky Buddha.“

“Came here a lot during my recent visit to FLL. They put a lot of beer on tap in this place, though special beers are usually held back for special events. They run those often enough, though, and I tracked down their top 50 impy stuff by following their Twitter. I like a lot of the Buddha beers and the session IPA hit the spot quite a bit during happy hour. They have outdoor seating, a food truck, and parking around the side. Somebody is opening a craft beer arcade across the stop. All in all, a top South Florida destination.“

“Have been happy to see FB evolve from a cool little hookah/craft beer bar in Boca to a nanobrewery and now to this production brewery in Broward, which is actually in a pretty central location all things considered. Also impressed with the way their beers have evolved and continue to evolve. Yes they do have some gimmicky flavored beers, but they are proving their merit with some solidly made straightforward beers too. The selection included beers from multiple styles, and with 21 on tap, there is bound to be something you’re in the mood for whether that’s a strong nightcap or an afternoon session beer like a Berliner or session IPA. Most of the beers are pretty good, some are better than good, and others are not to my taste, but that is to be expected with a lineup this large. The place itself has a lot to offer, it’s super laid back, has some outdoor seating on a front and side patio along the train tracks, which I think is cool. They even have some games to play out back like bocce. They show games on TV without creating a sports bar atmosphere, it’s kind of a bare bones college bar on the inside but that’s what makes it feel relaxed. Service tends to be attentive and friendly. There is usually a food truck out front but probably best not to count on eating here. Overall I really like this place and look forward to visiting again and again.“

“Very enjoyable brewery just north of Ft. Lauderdale. Stopped there straight from the airport after escaping a snowstorm in NJ. This place was a nice respite from that travel adventure. Funky Buddha has a nice vibe with tables outside in addition to a very large tasting room with a very long bar. Eats are mostly via food trucks. The beers are the star here though. They generally seem to have a fairly large selection for a brewery tasting room where all the beers were made in house. It took about 2 1/2 flights to get thru all of them...a trip well worth taking with a wide variety of styles and flavor versions. Overall I would say the beers are quite good with a couple of exceptional ones. I highly recommend a visit here (note that the Boca location has a "totally" different vibe...try this location first if you are going for the craftbeer).“

“Flight home got cancelled, so I ended up coming on down to here. Since it was a Monday afternoon, it was very quiet, but a steady number of people showed up as the day progressed. Bartender was really into the Namaste. Beers were as unique as I’m used to. Was a lot of fun there. They had a a small outside area and it seemed like they had an indoor bocce court or something - awesome.“

“Visited for the MBCP release, which could have been a shitshow, but actually worked out pretty well. Hard to give a "regular review of the place, but the staff were working their asses off at the release, the beer was great, and the space was pretty solid as well. I hope to make it back for a more normal occasion sometime.“

“Nice facility with plenty of free parking. Right along the railway tracks so its a quite noisy at times when trains pass, but this isn’t often and adds to the atmosphere. Great selection of off-beat brews. These included 7 regulars, 11 limited releases, and 3 guest taps (including 2 from CCB). Friendly service. Fun atmosphere but loud when full. Food truck fright out front on occassion.“

“Les spécialistes des bières caméléons sont dans un emplacement industriel avec un vaste salon de dégustation avec écrans et terrasse à saveur ferroviaire. Il est possible de se commander de la nourriture d’un resto avoisinant ou de manger au food truck à l’entrée. L’excentricité des bières fait du bien dans le contexte du sud de la Floride.“

“Large, new place that is simply a great place to hang out. Plenty of seating in the bar area with good views of the brewery. Plus plenty of outdoor seating, bocce, cornhole, and a large collection of boardgames for patrons to entertain themselves. Large number of house beers available and some solid guest taps that feature other Florida brewery offerings. I did find the flights to be somewhat pricey for what they were. Overall, a cool place, solid beers, and nice staff.“

“Visited here in late January ’14. High ceilings, big windows, - modern, slightly industrial feel to it, Plenty of space - love the "cartoon’ on the wall of the brewing process - the place just had a great vibe to it. Have about 8 or so of their normal rotation and about a dozen or so of specials and seasonals, plus a few guest taps. Servers are friendly, attentive and knowledgeable, The beer, of course was superb. If I lived in South Florida - this would be a regular stop. Highly recommended if anywhere near. Food trucks outside if interested,“

“Huge, very nicely done tasting room. The largest and nicest I’ve ever seen... and I’ve seen a lot. Seven flat screen TVs, not including the one that displays all the beers available on tap and for growler fills. Rosie was tending bar and could not have been any nicer or more accommodating. Lots of wood in here. The bar is gigantic and very rustic. Lots of public parking across the street. The restroom is state-of-the-art and couldn’t be cleaner. I’m impressed.“

“The taproom is located in what looks like a brand new brewery that still has plenty of room to expand capacity. Located a block from the city hall building, there’s a free parking lot across the street. The taproom is much larger than I expected with a patio area in front. They had 12 of theirs on tap with 5-6 guest taps. I got there later than I wanted which sucked because the last snow and the Floridian hefe were both fucking fantastic! The only caveat was the service which wasn’t terribly responsive or warm and fuzzy. But the place is new and they’re not yet used to be being really busy. If they keep making beer of the quality they’re going to be busy for a long time.“

“Visited early evening on a Thursday. Easy to find with a larger public parking big lot directly across the street. There was a food truck offering burgers out front. Upon entering, there is a large modern space featuring a huge bar, along with a handful of high top tables and few other tables and spots to sit and have a beer. Looks as though this is designed to handle large crowds. Larger patios spot out front. Beyond the bar is a view into the big new sparkly Brewery. On draft were 8 Funky Buddha beers and 7 guests. Sizes were pints, 12 oz, and 4 beer taster. Service was friendly, though a touch on the slow side. Definitely a varied crowd everyone chilling out digging the beers. Similar to the original Boca location, great spot to relax and have great beers.

88 = ★★★★ (best in area, a must for locals and visitors)

I only use the total score, not the component parts.“

“The wife and I visited the new brewery this past Monday (6/17/13). The place is fantastic. The bar area is huge, they have a very nice ambiance and the actual bar is beautiful. In addition to the bar area, they have a bocce court and cornhole boards set up back in the warehouse. The service was top notch. Both Rosie and Don were extremely friendly and very helpful. The beer selection was quite nice and almost all of them were phenomenal. We ended up doing sampler paddles and tried the 10 beers they had on draft. We will definitely be back anytime we’re on the east coast of Florida. Since it’s only a 2 1/2 hour drive from us in Fort Myers, Funky Buddha may become a destination like Cigar City has become. If you’re in the area, check it out. You won’t be disappointed.“
