“This is a small cafe cum bar on the main street through Cromer, not too far from the shopping centre. There are some tables & chairs to the front and more inside, there mat be even more upstairs but I didn't investigate. There are 4 keg lines in amongst the coffee paraphenalia plus a fridge full of canned beers. The kegs are from around the country so probably something new for everyone. Makes a nice addition to Cromer, particularly after the loss of the Farm Shop.“

“Visited 14/8/2020. THE Gangway is the "new kid on the block" in Cromer. Opened around autumn 2019 it was establishing itself nicely apparently pre-lockdown but currently is takeaway only due to the size of the place inside. Offered 7 taps and around 30 cans/bottles. Craft focused with just a couple of local ales on tap. They plan to expand into the building next door at some point and it'll definitely be a place to check out when it does. Chatty chap at the door taking orders.“

“Visited briefly 14/8/2020. Very different to the Red Lion which it is next to. No interesting beers. Basically a locals lager pub. Loud locals at that. Didn't hang around (and taxi driver on the way back to Overstrand confirmed that was the right decision!).“

“Visited 14/8/2020. Looked like a nice old building in a cliff-top locations but can't judge the place fully as post-lockdown there is no entry to drinkers inside. Instead they've got the car park nicely set out with an eclectic array of tables and chairs, with an order point and table service. Selection of 6 or 7 local real ales available including a couple of excellent offerings from Mr Winters. Ordering process and service was effective and efficient though not especially friendly. Busy on this Friday evening, with a nice atmosphere. Spent a decent hour here.“

“Visited while on my Norfolk holiday. Not as impressive when I visited. One two Adnams beers on cask both nationally available. Nice building though at the end of the pier.“

“Large pub, with restaurant area at the back. 5 or 6 local micro brews on cask, with decent food options. Fantastic views out to sea“

“An unexpected find at the end of Cromer Pier in the theatre bar. There are a couple of Woodfordes beers on offer plus the normal macro kegs, but I did manage to pick up a seasonal beer from Woodfordes. The big bonus here are the views from the pier, particularly on a sunny evening, worth it just for this.“

“Update Jul ’17. Reduced rating, feels somewhat tattier than before, less interesting beer range. July ’16 rating - 72. Traditional local seaside pub in the centre of Cromer next door to The Red Lion. There are 5 hand pulls with 4 beers on during our visit and a good mix of styles. Homely and comfortable without going over the top. It was a really good find.“

“Popped in here during a trip out east for the Crab & Lobster festival held in the town. A huge building on the seafront, Edwardian in style, the atmosphere is friendly and the staff are as friendly and helpful, we were offered a tasting glass of any of the beers on tap, we made our choices from a good selection of mainly local beers. We didn’t take advantage of the food, but what we saw looked tasty. The prices were reasonable for a seaside town hotel bar.“

“This place is really nice, just in front of the sea the best place to have beers in Cromer. The selection is good with good cask and draft beer. The place is really nice and cosy, that was a really good moment to stay on this pub. The food is really good !!! Note: you can have beer as take away !“

“Rather imposing when first walking in but nice and friendly and comfortable in reality. Good beers, many from local micro’s, in the selection. Lots of seating, the food looks hearty though they describe it as Gastro. Easily the best pub in Cromer.“
