| HopheadHans (13), Bay Area, California | | March 4, 2009 Well, nothing needs to be said about the quality of the beers. Selection is typically very good. Their sample trays are cool as well. The pizzas are great, people are friendly, and the palce has a nice atmosphere. Service can be slow at tims when there is lots of traffic but it is worth it. | | JohnC (100), Mission Viejo, California | | January 29, 2009 noisy bar scene, the food menu was a bit limited but the beer selection was great. service was a touch slow. Overall,t ho, I’d go back | | lb4lb (25), Austin, Texas | | January 19, 2009 Really nice ambiance in a smaller setting than I imagined, but it wasn’t cramped. The general crowd was that of locals and people there just to chat or read a paper and drink a beer. Wasn’t full of tourists and seemed very relaxed. Nice long, comfortable wooden bar and 13 beers on tap the day I went. Missed Pliny the Younger fresh on tap by about 20 days unfortunately, but there were still plenty of great Russian River beers to try. The Russian River IPA, Porter, and many others were fantastic, and lived up to expectation. Food was very good and we got the pizza with Jalapenos, pineapple and pepperoni along with some wings. Prices were reasonable, and a sampler of every beer they had on tap (13) was only $9 and they also offer 1/2 pints as well which is great for sampling. They also had Beatification and a couple other beers for sale in bottles at the brewpub.
Overall, very enjoyable and in a walkable nice area of Santa Rosa. I’d definitely recommend this to beer minded people visiting San | HIBEERMAN (8), Rhinecliff, New York does not count - explanation | | January 12, 2009 Amazing. That is all i can say. The pliny the younger was superb, well worth the two hour drive. The food was raved about by me and everyone who was with me and so was the beer. | | heemer77 (172), Savannah, Missouri | | January 4, 2009 Overall, the beers were solid. The location is cool with vintage and industry related beer decorations. I was a little disappointed in the "ation" series beers that were available. The prices were decent and I had some pieces of a very nicely made pizza. Overall, it’s good beer, but certainly not the mind blowing experience I was expecting. | | polarbeer (10), | | December 1, 2008 The beer was great the service was great. We sat at the bar and the bar tenders answered questions about beer and learning a lot and had a nice night drinking some really good beer. Would recommend the place to anyone up for some good beer and a pizza. | | kmweaver (113), Sebastopol, California | | November 18, 2008 Simply, for me (and my wife), the greatest brewpub in the world. Gorgeous, resiny, dry IPAs and a generous selection of sour ales. Who does that? Even the Aud Blonde is exceptionally good, the service is solid and generally knowledge, and you can sample pretty much everything for less than a buck. Had Consecration, Santification, Perdition, Defenestration, and over fourteen beers total when we went, twice in two days. I kicked everyone in the shins before leaving out of a simple and base jealousy. | | slimchill (57), Austin, Texas | | November 1, 2008 Clean, large, professional. Nice staff and solid happy hour. Unimaginative menu with no vegan options. Very nice American beer history paraphernalia on the walls. Nice selection of house beers, no guest taps. Quiet-ish pre-band, but not annoying during the music (even though the music was terrible). | | Phil (18), , England | | October 26, 2008 Hell, I love this place. Great beers in a cool environment, and often bands playing in that laid back chilled out way that is soooo california.
Draft Suplication, and Fleurette (from Birrificio Italiano - Augustino Auroli brewed at RR)
Dead Leaf Green - mmmm, and the RR IPA do not miss that one if you go!
| | f351c4v (77), Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania | | October 12, 2008 Great location in downtown Santa Rosa. Walking in the door, the first thing you notice is the long, wooden bar. There’s also a decent sized dining area, but you’re here for the beer... so head to the bar. At least 10 RR beers on tap, most were excellent. The staff was knowledgable, just not the fastest. Pizza was excellent, just pricey. Definitely worth the pilgrimage. |
