Great homebrew store. Owners have written a few books on homebrewing. Just a large open room with equipment, but they have two dogs and homebrew samples.

Really great, friendly owners but some of the prices make you scratch your head. All grains are $2 / pound with specialty grains being $2 / half pound and all hops, regardless of origin/alpha content/breed are $4 / 2 oz. Also, all hops are bought in bulk and distributed into little zipper lock bags and stored in a less than freezing fridge. Not ideal.
Overall, this entire area has only this one homebrew store, but weíre lucky its as great as it is.

This place is the biggest and probably the best beermaking supply store in the state. The staff is very experienced in making beer wine and mead and everyone is eager to help. The place can get a little crowded on saturdays, but I guess thatís a good thing.

Itís not like there are a lot of homebrew supply stores around so when I can drive to one and be there in 20 minutes, Iím happy. What makes this one great is that the staff is very knowledgeable, they tend to have just about everything you need to brew beer, mead, wine, and rootbeer and most importantly, they take care of their yeast supply. This is located in the basement of a small office building, so it can be difficult to find. Not sure about their mail order, but their in store service is spectacular.
UPDATE: Their new location is near Ace Hardware and is much larger than their old location.
