92 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 19/20 Rudy_Tripel (2) , Belgium | May 11, 2013 Great place with very good staff and a beautiful beer-card | 74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 15/20 Mathieu87 (84) Ganshoren, Belgium | April 2, 2013 Nice place in the centre of Bruges. OK selection with even some forgotten Struise brews like the Struise Witte and Rosse. Not the most beergeeky place ever, and not the best pub in Brussels, but if you’re in Bruges with your misses, she’ll love it over here, and you’ll have a good time as well. Tasters available. | 78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 nbutler11 (301) Phoenix, Arizona | March 18, 2013 Dropped by while touring the area since ’t Brugs Beertje was closed. Quaint spot with interesting decor for a bar with the fake roses hanging from the ceiling, but I can dig it. Solid selection of beers on tap and in bottles. Nothing particularly out of the ordinary or impressive, but respectable. A bit overrated, but kind service and relaxing atmosphere. | 84 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 17/20 Martinus (116) Nijmegen, Netherlands | February 5, 2013 Located in a backstreet just of the main market, this instantly became one of my favourite places in Brugge. Nice atmosphere and a great selection of beers. Struise Tsjeeses Reserva PBA and Avec les Bons Voeux on draught during my visit. Nice!
One of the must see places in Brugge, beer-wise. I will for sure visit again next time I’m near. | 82 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 16/20 Svesse (178) Hässelby, Sweden | January 23, 2013 (Visited July 2012) This was quite a nice surprise. Tucked away from the tourist bustle, on a back street we managed to find this combined beer café an hotel bar. Interior is mainly in brown wood, with red roses in the ceiling. Very nice outdoor area at the back. Atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. Very good service, with knowledgeable and friendly staff. Beer selection was really good, with five draught beers, probably some of them guest beers, I had the Dupont Saison Dry Hopping for example. Almost 200 bottled beers, with some fairly rare or unusual stuff. Overall I was quite impressed. A must visit in Brugge. | 84 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 shoulderbroken (119) Tokyo, Japan | January 6, 2013 Really liked this place. Pretty small, with a great selection of stuff you don’t really see in other places. Nice atmosphere, if a little classy for me, but will definitely come back. | 86 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 16/20 rulas3 (22) , Spain | December 16, 2012 nice place, confortable and cozy good atmosphere, nice beers, good selection and the staff is really friendly, great service, | 86 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 happyhoppy (44) , France | December 9, 2012 Located really close to the city center offering a cosy and warm ambiance. Very well selected beer list. Not the most extensive but still well chosen and should please all kinds of beer lovers. | 88 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 17/20 Fin (368) Merton, Oxfordshire, England, England | October 7, 2012 We visited here Saturday 6th October 2012. Quite surprised that I’d never stumbled across this place before now, it is a real gem. The beer list is excellent and well chosen with Struise and De Dolle both well represented. The interior is really well done, roses hang from the ceiling, there is plenty of wood and it is just very comfortable and well thought out. I had a Dulle Teve followed by Black Albert Batch #14 though not sure what the significance is with the batch numbers? Loz had two Pannepot 2010’s. I would definately seek this place out again when next in Bruges, btw the girl serving really knew her beer and was very helpful and friendly with advice to the couple sat adjacent to us. My only criticism was the frankly ridiculous prices if some of the beers, Mikkeller Beer Geek (not sure what version) at 50 or 60 Euro’s a bottle really was taking the mickey, otherwise an excellent bar in just about every other respect.
| 84 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 18/20 Leighton (389) London, England | October 7, 2012 Small cafe, creaky wood floors, lots of red roses about. Small, well-word wooden bar. Lovely. Pleasant jazz music playing in the background. Nice server. Good beer menu with some exceptional offerings, though some not cheap. Great vibes here. |
