A massive liquor store. A shit load of beer. Lots of local beer...so many options. Most of the stuff I wanted wasn’t there, and there wasn’t a tonne that really stood out. Still a crazy good beer store with a lot of local selection.

Great liquor/beer store. We went to 2 of their location and this was the biggest. Tons of beer, wine and liquor. Prices were reasonable and things were easy to find.

I have never seen so much beer and liquor gathered in one place! Unbelievable cosmic selection of everything. Absolutely huge place with a bar in the back with a smaller selection of beers. Literally right next to goose island.

Holy shit this place has a monster selection! All the West Coast stuff plus everything else. I was looking for the latest Pipeworks and was not surprised to find a zillion of them. It is a monster, store that lacks any kind of small beer store feel but the beer guy came right up to me and talked "locals" for a long time.

Traffic sucks getting to this place from out of town, but welcome to Chicago. Plenty of dedicated parking. Huge selection of beer on the left side of the store. Good selection of local selections (not quite as good as Westlake), very good selection of Belgians, great selection of Germans, and the best selection of ciders I have seen to this point. Pretty helpful service, but didn’t know everything about their offerings. Have to have six beers for the mix and match. Prices are good. Did have a mishap with a bottled not being priced, but I stood my ground and waited for them to give me a price and they worked it out in the end.

This place is one cavernous, gleamingly clean palace of booze - not only do they have one of the most impressive, well-organized selections of beer I have seen in the midwest, they also have a bar/tasting room inside (with pretty reasonably priced drafts) - you can get a pint of beer and take it with you as you browse the beer and liquor, which is pretty damn cool - as mentioned, the selection is impressive, with a vast collection of local and regional micros, as well as a very impressive import selection - the prices are quite fair, especially considering the fact that this is in the heart of Chicago - a must-stop if in the area.

I hate to admit it, but this is probably the best option in Chicago for a wide variety of local, domestic, and international beers, ciders, wines, and liquors. They have certain beers that you typically can’t find at smaller places, with moderate prices and occasional sales. I was a lot bigger on this place when it was Sam’s. One piece of advice would be to avoid their mix & match six packs, as it seems like they’re not fresh at all. If you want to do to mix & match, go to Bottles & Cans. If you are looking for moderately priced local selection, unfortunately I’d say this is the best place to go.

Stopped by after Goose Island the day before DLD. Pretty good selection and well organized. Picked up a few things that looked interesting. Prices were on point with the rest of the city.

Stopped in on a Friday early afternoon after hitting up goose island next door. As you walk in, you immediately see the beer selection. There’s probably five or six aisles of beer with coolers on the back wall. The pricing seemed high, but they did give case discounts. I found a bottle I had been looking for for awhile so i grabbed that. The staff all seemed very knowledgeable.

Binny’s is located in the Clybourn area of downtown Chicago on North Marcey. There is a large parking lot in front of the store, as well as street parking in the immediate area.
The interior is large and well-lit, similar to pretty much any other cavernous liquor store. Maybe a little more sterile looking than Total Wine or Bevmo, but not entirely devoid of character. The beer is toward the left side both on shelves and in coolers around the perimeter. One of the shelves is devoted to mixed sixers.
The bottle selection counts not in the hundreds but apparently in the thousands! Incredible array of breweries are represented, more or less by geography from what I could see. Domestic craft breweries like Revolution, Goose Island, Pipeworks, Half Acre, Lost Abbey and Surly, as well as many imports.
Service is pretty typical for these types of stores. I was asked if I needed help finding anything, and checkout was friendly.
Overall this is a great store to visit in downtown Chicago, and being right across the street from Goose Island is an added bonus.
