Near HotDog, Commons, etc. The interior reminded me of an IHOP, and the main decorations were framed posters for their beers with really ugly graphics. They are known for their sour beers, which dominate the tap list, more than 10 different sour beers on tap, quite a novelty. Higher prices than other places, but sour beers take a lot of time and space to make, so actually surprisingly good deal. None of the beers really blew my mind however. Fun place to visit if you like sour beers.

A sour beer lovers paradise. Basic nondeScript atmosphere. Good service. Some food was good, while other offerings were a little sparse in my opinion. Anyway, in my travels, Russian River has offered the best sours as far as quality goes, but Cascade offers the bests sours as far as quantity goes. And if I may add, the quality here is not too far being Russian River. I think when I visited that they had around 16 sour beers on tap. I wish I had a place like this were I live.

This may be the best place in the world. How about 20+ world class sours on tap, including vintages, another half dozen other beers on tap. All with sampler size pricing (about 2 bucks per). Chill vibe, great service, artisan food but I didnít eat. Wow. Just wow. My mind is blown.

Visited on a Sunday evening in November 2015. Large tap room with plenty of seats. Samplers available for each of the beers. Tried quite a few of them, all were very good. Lots of sour goodness! Serving staff were on the ball and kept the beer flowing. Maybe a little expensive but the beer quality is great. A must if in Portland

Visited on a Tuesday mid-afternoon. Easy to find along a busy stretch of SE Belmont Avenue. With the name, I suppose I was expecting more of a dark, cellar type space - this is anything but. Pretty, new open airy space with plenty of bar and bar table seating, as well some booths along the well. Great sidewalk patio available as well. 21 different Cascade beers on draft, 2 service live from the barrel and a bunch of standard and vintage (2008 Kriek on the list) bottles available to go. Friendly service, knowledgeable service. I have loved Cascade for many years, and certainly enjoyed my visit.

88 = ★★★★ (best in area, a must for locals and visitors)

I only use the total score, not the component parts.

Since this is my favorite brewery to visit in Portland, I should probably document it. Iíve been here about 4 times now, and now has become a must stop for all my Portland trips. For a sour beer lover like myself, this is the place to go. Sample size pours, as well as full from a wide variety of taps, as well as their non sour offerings. Iíd call their non sour beers good, but the sours are what keep me coming back, especially since there is always something new. The live barrel taps are always cool, and I got a chance to be there for one, even though I donít live there and they do it in the middle of the work week. Food is always good, though the menu is a little limited. Nice outdoor seating area, that I havenít sat in yet, because for me there is a lot to look at inside. Always heavy traffic of people coming in to buy the wide variety of to go bottles they have. Good location, as there are many places to hit close by on a crawl. As I said before, a must stop place for sour lovers and beer lovers alike.
