Wandered in here today, noticed they have free Intelligentsia coffee (and sell beans), which is a bonus.
Everything is well lit and well organized. The brewing supplies are all in well defined areas, the space is big and feels like a mini-Home Depot. To the immediate right when you walk in are restrooms and tropical plants, but beyond that are separate coolers for yeast and pelletized hops. To the left along the wall are assorted grains, and further up are books about brewing, including my favorite, Wild Brews. Hop selection was pretty varied, noticed full bins of Mosaic and Falconers Flight, no Citra (none to be found anywhere of course).
There was a guy on the floor helping a customer with a recipe, and at the counter they let me know when the next homebrew class was (March 7th). They had some modified keg kettles set up under a hood for brewing indoors, and an inspiration shelf of assorted empties of hard to find commercial beers. A great spot for homebrew supplies, literature, and coffee, just a short skip away from Revolution and Beer Temple.

huge clean space, makes you feel instantly welcome, tons of products for brewing, kergerator equipment, and growing. Help staff. I really like that place.

Much larger than the Roselle store. Service and selection was good. I would rather go to Beer Camp as selection is better there with about a 10th of the space. This place has everything you need though.

Stopped by to pick up my next homebrew ingrediants. Have to say this place is large and has a big section dedicated to homebrew. Parking was not an issue, location is good, I think Revolutions new location will be close to here. Anyways, the selection is good, they have malts in big bulk as well. The prices are average and the service is ok, the guy kinda knew what he was talking about. I still like brew camp more for the sevices and the dedication the guys give to home brew.

A few years ago they were on the upper floor of a factory building in a difficult area to get to and a limited inventory. Now it seems as if they have several locations in the Chicago area. They have a large and varied stock of supplies. A little more expensive then some mail order places but still a good value finally available in Chicago

This is definitely much closer than Bev-art. Selection is pretty good, nice bunch of hops, decent grain selection (though generic) Overall, I’d say that this is a pretty decent spot for picking up supplies and advice.
