I was not sure how to list this on RateBeer Places but I felt it was important to list it anyway. This is neither a beer store or a home brew supply shop (although I listed it under home brew supplies). It is a brew-your-own operation. It is a unique concept in which anyone can come in and brew their own beer using state of the art equipment under the guidance of knowledgable home brewers. There are six 20-gallon brewing systems and they provide all the barley, grains, malts, hops, and yeast. You provide your own bottles. They have over 75 recipes to choose from. You go in one week and boil it, add the ingredients, and transfer it to a carboy which ferments for two weeks. Then you return in two weeks and bottle your product. It was a lot of fun and it is a great way for someone to try his/her hand at brewing. There are fees. The best way to participate is to come in when they are having a group brewfest. You get together with a bunch of friends and pay $30-35 each (including the bottles) and have at it. If you want to brew a full 20 gal. batch on your own you are going to pay closer to $150 but the result will be several cases of 22 fl. oz. bottles. They let the kids brew their own sodas.
