The food food and food, oh and the beer. Awesome pub (size is a bit deceiving as they do have an upstairs) with really great, and innovative food - the meat poke was amazing. The tap list was long and interesting, but a bit random, as it wasn’t really organized. Nonetheless a minor gripe. Had lots of stuff I had never seen before on tap and bottles. Good service. I was there for a pub crawl and we had a hard time leaving. Def a must in Honolulu.

Easy to find, located next to the cinema at Ward center. The most interesting beers where on tap, some was not even on the list. Also a solid selection of bottles. Music was not too loud and the ambiance was just spot on for a bar like this. Seems like they constantly trying to get hold of new beers and arrange both tap take-over and seasonal beer tastings. They had a special stout tasting with Southern Wine & Spirits (distributors) the evening I visited and hopefully this will make the pub expand the selection of imperial stouts which was not very large.
In my opinion Real Gastropub is the best bar on Oahu.

Best beer bar in HI hands down. Not a lot of local brew, but they had quite a few of their 30 taps I’d never seen before. And though the bottle list was disorganized and out of date, there were some real gems on there, too. We came back on our way of town. Be warned that they blast the AC in a huge way, bring a sweater.

Duck Confit corndog, Portobello mushroom sliders, and two different poke’s. Very nice food menu. Very offbeat. Small portions but good stuff.
Service was friendly and made good suggestions.
29 taps. Had a Mikkeller tap takeover when I was there and a Goose island tap takeover upcoming. 2012 Bigfoot on Tap?? Got to be kidding. Big bottle list, very diverse, lots of Euro stuff and some nice US stuff. On par with Hashigo Zake in Wellington as the best beer joint in the Pacific. Prices a bit higher than what I saw in Hawaii and compared to the mainland but have to pay to get weirder stuff

This fine establishment has no right existing in Hawaii. In a place that generally couldn’t care less about beer geeks, this bar coddles them with Zwanze Day, special tastings, and rare bottles. The everyday tap and bottle list were both impressive, although not all the draught beers were on form likely due to being stale and not stored properly during the long journey here. Worth noting that the prices are astronomical. Expect to pay $8-9/glass for the privilege of drinking obscure mainland and international brews. Bottles are similarly pricy, but a few are at or just slightly above market value. They do have a happy hour, but it’s only for a few of the lesser cans and bottles you can get anywhere. You didn’t come here for that; you came here for the other stuff. We ordered some appies from the fun menu and the food was good. Music was tasteful. Not the most aloha around but staff were good enough, though not geeky. Hawaii just doesn’t seem to breed geeks and hipsters the way the mainland does. Overall, this is an impressive place. Easily the best in all of Polynesia, not just Hawaii.

Gastropub in Honolulu is a must. It is like a winery but for beer drinkers and the waiters and waitresses are very knowledgeable. They also have great, what i would like to call snackers. If you go there and don’t know what to get my favorites are the Engineers Reserve Beer and their pulled pork sliders or their fried chicken and waffles. Their waffles are made with a genesis beer batter...its awesome.

We visited this place on Feb 13, 2013. After several disappointing beer adventures in Honolulu a real highlight. Located not far from Waikiki, this is a quite small beer pub with a great atmosphere. You immediately feel the beer culture this place has - 30 beers on tap, a long list of bottled beers (they have Westvleteren on the menu, but currently not available), pictures of brew kettles in the pub / restrooms. We started with a Chainbreaker from Dechuttes (great) and a steam beer from Aloha (ok), followed by Norwegian Wood from Handbruggeriet (good), Schlenkerla Märzen (bottle, outstanding) and a Schieven IPA and Hoptimum IPA from Sierra Nevada (bottle, very good) at the end. The meals are quite small, but good quality. The service is excellent - we had some good beer conversations and got good recommendations. Overall a great place and unique for Honolulu and Hawaii. You must go there.

What a great place! Located at the Farmer’s Market, the plus of this place is the ease of parking (during the day), close by to a fun Japanese supermarket and the Liquor Collection across the street. The selection is excellent, even considering te distance the kegs have to cross, about 30 taps of local, national and international choices. Service was excellent, and the food top class, with a mean poke, and a Hawaii poutine.
