Cool spot to grab a beer and kick back on the nearby stairs looking at the HK skyline. The beers are served in plastic cups and thereís an okay range including the likes of Oakham and Moor. Not really much to say about this little beer stall, and tough to rate ambiance as the place itself has little but the surroundings makes up for it. Anyway, itís always a bonus to be able to grab a decent beer for the walk along the harbour.

Little bar next to pier 3 in Central.Only one of eights beers on tap is from Hong Kong,no wheat beers on offer, and everything is served in plastic cups. Despite everything mentioned, not a bad place to go to have a relaxing beer after work while enjoying the cool breeze.

During my 4 day stay in HK this was the best bar I found. Certainly the best value at around HK$40 for draught and the same or a bit more for decent bottles. I had some Little Valley and Saltaire. Added bonus is that you can just sit on the steps and drink so head up to CityíSuper, pick up a few cold bottles and use the plastic you got from Beer Bay to drink them while looking over the harbour. Heaven! Seemed to stop selling at 9pm when I was there.

Tiny bar outside the Central ferry piers. Small tap selection focused on UK/Belgian classics, served in plastic cups. They also have a surprisingly eclectic bottle selection. Best prices on the island. Convenient place for a few pints on a sunny day, despite the lingering ferry pollution.

Bar stall on the Central waterfront with locations inside Pier 4 (Lamma Island) and next to Pier 3 (Discovery Bay). Both have large selections of bottled UK beer and Pier 3 has 11 taps, mostly macros but with London Pride and a rotating guest tap. Recent guests include 8Wiredís excellent Hopwired IPA. Everything is served in plastic takeaway cups. There are a few standing tables and some steps and benches nearby where you can sit. Pleasant location. Great value Ė†HK$28-$38 for draught pints, $38 for bottles. Probably the cheapest bar in Hong Kong.

A hidden gem located at Piers 3 & 4 in Central, this little store has an impressive collection of popular as well as obscure English beer and cider brands - Marstonís Westons, Badger, Oakham, Little Valley, Shephard Neame - to name drop but a few. Available for sale on the spot as well as online ordering for door to door delivery. The best thing is to enjoy the beer fresh on the spot right here in the evening in open air, be that with friends or waiting the ferry home. Excellent vibe by default and a great gathering place for beer lovers!
