Stopped in here late during SFBW. Large, clean, modern space with two mirrored L-shaped bars. They still had the remnants of a Crux tap takeover, so there were a lot of those, a lot of Mikkeller stuff - obviously - and scattered odds and ends. Prices are insanely high and they don’t do small pours of anything. The bartenders had a wide range of attitudes, from ignoring us to being friendly and attentive. Just depended on who was walking by when we needed something. None of us ate anything, so I didn’t really pay attention to the food menu. We asked about the downstairs bar, and they said it had all the same stuff and asked us to please stay upstairs. I don’t know if that meant it was closed (it was after midnight) or if they just wanted to keep things simple. It wasn’t particularly crowded, so maybe they needed to keep us concentrated upstairs. Whatever. It’s definitely worth visiting if you’re in the city and can handle the prices, but after City Beer and Cellarmaker, it didn’t stand out.

Very similar in concept to the other Mikkeller bars, but absolutely huge in comparison. Tap beers are in fantastic condition. Service is attentive enough but maybe a bit pretentious. Selection is great, but are prices high on more limited stuff (almost as expensive as in Copenhagen or at their, now defunct, bar in Stockholm). Well worth a visit, but if I’d just be out for downing pints, I’d go to Cellarmaker instead.

Nice open Mikkeller style. Empty on Sunday. Good selection of Mikkeller and several hard to get Brewers. Worth a visit...

I really want to like this place, but it’s just too pretentious. Nice space, but when it is crowded it is difficult to get comfortable. Service is spotty and arrogant. Prices are really high and they get snippy when you only tip a reasonable amount at the bar. Selection is great though. I may give them another try during the day, but doubtful. Also no small pours.

Music was loud and irritAting. Prices for special beers silly high--even more than in Tokyo. Might be ok when empty in the afternoon, but unpleasant for me when crowded.

Clean, modern open feel. Much different than the small spot in Copenhagen. If you’re looking to capture the magic of Denmark you’re going to be disappointed. This is a cool spot to hang out with a decent amount of rarer stuff.

Stopped by at night. Place was packed. Plenty of seating and help at the bar. Staff is friendly enough and pretty knowledgeable. Food is typical pub food although a couple of people were there on dates so it’s private enough apparently. Beer is definitely the highlight as they get just about everything from all over the US plus a little more from Belgium and what not.

Came by myself on a Tuesday night at about 10PM. Very good crowd going and I couldn’t find a spot at the bar and ended up grabbing a seat at an empty communal table. I was joined quickly by 3 Japanese tourists who spoke almost no English, and then later a couple of locals, one of whom works at one of the other beer places I had visited, so I eventually ended up with some conversation partners. The tap list is good, yes. But the prices are steep. 8 ounce pours for $13 is a bit tough at times. Went with a couple of sour things, the first of which they were out of. One of the Mikkeller sours was not so sour, and felt like a very mediocre beer for what works out to be a $26 pint. Service was fine, but something about the place just didn’t do it for me. It was only a block from my hotel so it’s not like I went to a lot of effort to get there, but really felt like going to Pier 39 or riding the cable car. Something you do once as a tourist in SF, but I honestly couldn’t think of a reason to go again on my next trip. There’s a whole lot of better places for your money and time in the SF beer scene.

love this place. first went to mikkeler in Bangkok, and this place, as could be expected, considering their selection and spirit of innovation, was nearly as memorable. will return every time I’m in the city.
