Well well well what a find. This is a bar though some info online seemed to suggest that the beer box used to be a beer shop. SO the first thing to note is your paying BAR prices. and most beers were about £3-£4(~$5) which is more than i would have been expected to be paying in Mexico.Saying that I got beer TO GO. and raided a nicely available fridge. Where i was able to go through the whole thing and Score 30 NEW mexican Micro brews from about 20 different breweries.(a couple of which were not even on Ratebeer) They were really helpfully packing them into 6 packs, and then loaded them into a pastic crate and carried them out to the Car.

All in all i couldnt recomend this more, if you want to try Micro Mexican beers.

and while there english wasnt perfect (and why whould it be) they had more than enough to communicate and be helpfull

Was looking forward to visiting a bar with Mexican micros and in that way The Beer Box did not disappoint. It certainly looks beer, with plates from beer brands all over the world. The beer selection was surprising. As far as I can tell itís limited to around 20 bottles of which more than half is Mexican craft in the form of the Minerva and Cucapa brands. No mass produced pilsner here at all, though! The service was very friendly and they tried their best speaking English. They also clearly got instructions on the beer styles, but when I had a beer that was clearly off (rancid butter galore) they were very confused what I meant. In any case I think I learned them something and it got swiftly replaced. The prices were good I feel, at 55 MXN for the Cucapa brand beers, for example and I paid 67 MXN on average per beer. They serve some food too I think, but I didnít have any. I saw pictures at this barís (itís primarily a bar, although you are allowed to buy to bottles to take with you) of craft European and American brands but none of their beers. Still very much worth a visit to get some of those elusive Mexican craft ticks.
