| JasonG (33), Salt Lake City, Utah | | June 29, 2005 A nice, supremely laid back place, lots of open air space, and some bench tables outside. As always, the same great pizza port pizza and food. Beers here didn’t seem quite as intereseting and experimental as the solana beach location, but still good. Definitely worth a trip, but if you can only go to one, I’d make it to solana beach if possible. Otherwise, the san clemente spot is still a great place. | | BeerLimey (76), California | | November 4, 2004 Same Pizza Port formula, plenty of home made beers, great pizza, surfer ambience and video games. Pizza is as good as the other 2 but was a little more disappointed with the beers, 4 BMC alternatives, while the Belgian ale was a little lacking. Porter was excellent though. | | Eyedrinkale (129), Astoria, New York | | March 23, 2004 [ Updated September 22, 2005 ] The third of 3 Pizza Ports, this latest on is smack in the middle of Orange and San Diego Counties. This location also has Pizza Port ice cream as well as bottles of Hop 15 and SPF 45. They usually have a Happy Hour pint for $2.50. | KnightHawk (1), San Clemente, California does not count - explanation | | March 22, 2004 Great old building. Parking can be quite the challange. The staff's knowledge of the beers ranges from great to poor (it seems random from visit to visit). Some of the best pizza this side of Chicago. I'd like to see some more of the funky stuff that's to be had at the more southern locations. | | austinpowers (152), New York, New York | | January 26, 2004 A very spacious building with lots and lots of beer but atrocious service. They sell their Cuvee de Tomme and SPF 45 as of 12/03 (in bottles). A nice space to enjoy the 10-beer sampler. | | herbjones (29), Orange, California | | January 13, 2004 The brewer from the Carlsbad location also brews the beers here, unfortunately he's yet to begin brewing his off the wall/special stuff for this place. Bring on the SPA and Broken Keg already! Wheres the Frank??? Brew the stuff that got PP its reputation in the first place. Now that I'm done ranting, food is excellent, regular offering beers are decent.I like the funky neighborhood vibe of the Solano Beach location better(or maybe its Tommes beers). | | JohnC (103), Mission Viejo, California | | January 12, 2004 This is the newest pizza port; it opened during the summer of 2003. It is roomier than the other two. They have a very good selection of draft beer, many their own. They've had one small event, but there's room on their roof for more. If you're in OC, you can take the family here, have good pizza & great beer. |
