Se si passa ad Anversa si deve per forza passare al Kulminator. Locale fantastico e selezione di birra sopra la media. Cantina molto ampia con una scelta di birre vintage. I due proprietari seguono i clienti con passione. Consigliato

Great place to visit. Always hit the vintage list. Expensive but i only go every few years.
Last time i had a disappointing Orval from 1984, But all the others were great. Would highly recommend this place

Seemed to be more like a place for local folk and a few pilgrims when I visited. Itís definitely different. Very crowded, hard to move around. A tad hard to make sense of everything. Itís... different. Iím not much of a fan of aging beer so itís not the kind of thing for me, but thatís as is. But if properly aged beer is your thing, itís a definite must visit. A fun little detail was a local older gentleman with a bottle of Blauw Keizer by his side, slowly sipping and reading a book in the yard. Not a tickerís dream place I suppose.

A must-see in Antwerp. Plenty of vintage beers on offer if you can afford the prices. Still plenty of cheaper bottles available too. The less vintage stuff was well priced. Good meat and cheese board too.

Visited on a rainy November evening, since we got pretty early place was almost empty when we came in. However, soon enough all the tables were full. Ambiance was cozy, it felt we were visiting someone at their home. Owners working there were nice. Decent tap selection, but highlight was of course the bottle list. Aged beers are the thing here, had 26 yo Oerbier and 10 yo Westmalle Tripel. Great place and a unique experience.

Very nice, great selection, friendly staff. The place has *a lot* of Trapist beers from different years, starting with reasonably priced new-ish ones to very expensive and very old ones.
Also very nice that all the guests were very talkative. Not sure thatís the case always or if we were just lucky this time.

Kulminator finslly made it here after a long day in Gent & Antwerp. Easy to find with the big yellow 70s KULMINATOR sign out front. Small space with a tiny green terrace in back that just oozes character. Cool modern beers on tap and aged Belgians plus the best of the regulars(though it skewed high-ABV when I went). Board games to play with are s nice touch. Digging in to the menu you can find some fantastic decades old beers for great prices, the well known breweries have high prices but the unpopular ones or those flying under the radar have accessible prices. Great place easily living up to the hype, someday Iíd love to come in a group and really take advantage of their extensive cellars. 90+ in many ways this is the bar that time forgot, wonderfully so.† Oh, looking at ratings the vintage bottles tend to be a crapshoot but I got lucky I guess.
