Totally agree with the previous post; Jason is a beer hero and deserves far more respect from UK beer lovers; maybe this will change as more people get to know this clasic place! A tiny little shop but always with something interesting on sale including Rulles, lots of real lambics and other rare brews from Belgium. Very highly recommended.

If you are anywhere near Manchester this place is worth as far as you need to travel. The Belly is basically a fantastic beer shop that happens to serve wonderful food and sell hand made Belgian chocolates of equal quality. Oh and they have just got a license so you can have a drink too. Letís face it the beer is what you are really interested in and the Belly will NEVER disappoint. Donít expect 200 bottles padded out with all the usual suspects here. DO expect a constantly evolving (almost on a weekly basis) selection of some of the finest and rarer gems that Belgium has to offer. To cap it all it happens to be run by a legend of a man. Jason is highly knowledgable, has friends in high places as well as being the most unsung hero of Belgian beer in this country. Oh he is also a highly entertaining bloke who will have you in stitches at the same time as dorking out about beer as much as you like. The Belly is the sort of place where you walk in, feel instantly at home and end up getting something to eat and staying until closing. Oh and they do mail order too. This place has it all. How I wish I still lived in Manchester. The Belly is a must. Without doubt my favourite beer shop in this country, probably rivals most of Belgium too for that matter.
