Really cool bottle shop in Asheville with a pretty decent selection. They won’t have the super rares but they have quite the respectable selection. If you are looking for bottled beer in Asheville. This is the place.

Visited here on Father’s Day Weekend, 2014. Excellent location, just on the edge of downtown, adequate parking considering the location. Thousands of beers, all available in singles it appears. I focused on North Carolina local stuff and walked out of there with about seventeen with out out even batting an eye - all priced at $2 or below. If I had been looking for big bottled, rare, more expensive stuff - there was plenty of that to go around. Service was friendly, not overbearing. Space is a little cramped - but when it is full of beer - who cares! If in the Asheville area - this willl be a regular stop. Revisiting rating after a few weeks - noticed a few of the singles were a bit past their prime.

Visited here with the fabled Retorp back in the day. Nice little shop with various rooms where the beer sits on book shelves in some cases reminding me of the De Molen bottle shop set up. Everything here is quality stuff plus local stuff as well as the odd growler offering or three. This seems to be a great place to go to find that hard to get beer. I’ll be back for sure if I’m back in the area.

Small quaint store, place you’d like to just chill and hang out. Talkative, nice and informative beer guy, gave good advice. Big selection of beers from Belgium and easily accessible stuff in the US. Strong selection of locals, but not as strong as Appalachin Vitner which should be the go to bottle shop when coming through.

Thought I’d already rated this. Done mail order and in person from these good folks, and they deliver marvelously on both counts. Well stocked, convivial atmosphere, terrific service. It’s hard not to be won over by some of the excellent local one-offs and so forth, but they really have a deep bench as well. Didn’t see the need to go anywhere else and will look forward to the next visit.

Small shop focused on craft and import specialty beers. Most bottle conditioned Belgian beer was at room temperature and out in the light which is a big no-no. For some local things, new releases, the bottles and cans are probably no worse off than anywhere else. The unpasteurized living beer I do not trust is in good shape. Only one small cooler to choose from, and checking dates I saw some expired products and many that were approaching it. Nothing to show your customers how much you care like leaving out dusty, expired bottles.

Great little beer store in downtown Asheville. Pretty much the "go to" destination for Craft beer in a city full of craft beer. The downside of this is they tend to sell out of the popular stuff first. I was able to pick up bottles of Event Horizon, Sexual Chocolate and Greenman Snozzberry at other lesser known stores within a couple blocks away that were sold out at Bruisin’ Ales. Still, a great place to check out and tons of great bottles. Knowledgeable and friendly staff.
