I have yet to make it out to the physical shop but have been buying from them online for the last year or so. Great selection of hard to find stuff(in Japan) mostly focused on Americans & Scandinavian beers - theyíre a good source of Haanbryggeriet. Great service, Iíve never had a problem with them and Yukakoís always been quite friendly, she also speaks some English.

Great place. Really nice experience. Very big selection of Belgian beers, quite a few US imports and a few others. Not so much Japanese, but a stock of all the Brimmer beers currently available. As the others have said, the place is crammed full of beer, glasses and groceries. Quite an unusual beer shopping experience. Kind of in the middle of nowhere but I too got a ride back to the station which was very nice! Will come back just for the experience.

This s the place to go for some good finds. Stock rotation is slower than Tanakaya. Ramshackled. No beer on tap when I visited. Owner wraps everything up really well. Quite a mark up on aged beers though.

This must be one of my all time favorites. The selection isnít quite as good as Tanakaya, and organization is not their strong suiit, but the service is outstanding and itís a pretty enjoyable place to visit. Talked to the owner for a few minutes about beer and she really know what shes talking about. Her english is pretty decent, much better than my Japanese. She brought me a free pint of Liefmanís Kriek to enjoy while picking out my purchase. After I paid for my beers she gave me a ride back to the train station so I didnít have to take the bus!! Thats service! Small, disorganized, and one of my favorite bottle store experiances ever. Had a very large selection of winter/christmas beers in the middle of July for some reason.

If order and tidiness is important to you. Please, please do not go here, you will simply go insane. A mom and pop grocery store that is half stocked with beer. Soy sauce, soy sauce, St. Bernardus 12 is how things might be staked on the shelf if there is not enough room. Heavy into the Belgians, but a dozen or so rare Japanese micros . Also, heavy focus on 1.5L beers and bigger (up to 9L).
The owner is super cool. I dropped in today and it was a down pour. She has one tap so customers can drink while they are choosing. Just as I got in she put on Leifmanís Kriek. She gave me two free glass while we just talked away about beer and Belgian and what ever. It was so so awesome, it was just one of those great beer moments. I spoke to her in Japanese, but my impression is she speaks English quit well. For a tourist, may be not so appealing compared to Tanakaya, but if you are in the area or are living in Tokyo/Yokohama, definetely worth the stop sometime. Good biannual parties.
From Mizunokuchi station (20 mins on denentoshi line from Shibuya), take the south exit. All buses goes to something hon cho bus stop. Itís about 10-15 min ride.
After you get off the bus, walk back from the direction the bus came from to the first set of lights (car dealership on the corner), then turn right . Walk up about 50 meters and you will be in front of it.
