| plovmand (24), Helsinge, Denmark | | September 8, 2009 Medium sized bar with lots of tables. Very cosy and day but at night it gets very crowdy and noisy. The staff is top of the notch. They know their beers and treat them with respect. Even the youger girls working there was very informed and had a great knowledge of their rarities. They have a great variation of vintage sours which is the main attraction here. Also they get some Närke on tap as well as other micros. Seems like they always have one tap with beer from Cantillon and one with beer from an American micro brewey. Lots of other Belgian and several Americans on bottle. The prices are quite high but when you think of what you get in your glass it doesnt really matter! This is THE place to visit in Stockholm if you like sours. | | Brosa (10), , Sweden | | September 2, 2009 My favourite place on earth! I come here several times a month and never leave nothing but satisfied. The whisky and beer selections are both world class, and many of the dishes they serve could just aswell be served at any of the Michelin star restaurants found in town! Simply amazing quality for such a place, you should really try it out. This place stands out so much I can safely say it’s worth it’s own trip. The service staff attending the floor is realy nice and serviceminded, but what really makes this place stand out is the behind-bar staff (often including one of the owners) who are just amazing! Friendly and knowledgable like no other. They know each and every bottle they have, including the vast vintage collection of beers. For lots of the breweries they know the brewmasters personally. In fact, they even contribute in the process of creating beers, with the lager Hell from Jämtlands as a really good proof of what they can do. The place got an overhaul during the summer of 2009 with a new bar, completely remade toilets and some behind the scenes tech stuff with the hose system feeding the taps etc. but it was carefully done so the atmosphere was preserved. They arrange whisky sampling events, special beer/food matched multi dish dinners, and every sunday there is a live band playing. | | mjs (14), Helsinki, Finland | | August 1, 2009 Visited twice during my visit in Stockholm. The place was just reopened after renovation. The selection at Akkurat is just impressive. Prices are a quite high, tough. Food there is really good, especially their lunch buffet. But if you’re after lambics, Swedish micros and rare beers in general don’t miss Akkurat while in Stockholm. | | drpimento (55), La Crosse, Wisconsin | | June 27, 2009 Great place. It was just over from my hotel which is near the bridge to Gama Stan. Easy to find and get to. Bartenders and guests were friendly. Superior selection of beers including some Swedish, USA, Belgian, and others. Also have real beer (a Swedish cask lager and an English cask ale). Only had fries (good) and mayo (home made). It was late last night, Friday and they were pretty busy, but not nearly as much as some nearby places. Which was great for me. It was a warm evening, but outside seating was full, so I sat inside at the bar. Surprisingly, since there wasn’lt any airconditioning, it was comfortable. Great bottle selection as well. Amazing scotch whisky selection. | | Scauca (22), Lovere, Italy | | May 1, 2009 Akkurat is one of the most renowned beer cafè of the world, and this fame relies on the incredible vintage cellar but you must prepare to spend an outrageous amount of money to taste the best they have. | | gyllenbock (21), Stockholm, Sweden | | April 27, 2009 [ Updated May 1, 2009 ] Akkurat is really an amazing place, the best place in Stockholm. If you like belgian vintage beers you are in heaven. It´s not cheap, but most of the vintage beers are not easy to find elsewhere.
About 30 taps, some of them with real-ales. Always some interesting beers from Swedish microbreweries.
The atmosphere is quite relaxed, although the place is packed almost every evening.
Great staff, and good food. The location is perfect, close to Slussen Subway station. | | ilbarcige (13), , Italy | | March 28, 2009 [ Updated June 10, 2009 ] Specialized in "belgian" beers (and food) with a huge selection on bottle and taps.
Selection also of local beers.
Excellent whisky meny.
Strongly recommended
| | finol (11), Nacka (Stockholm), Sweden | | March 18, 2009 This is the best place in Stockholm, they specialize in belgian beer but you can usualy find someting interesting Swedish and american as well! Usefull when you want a long evening in the same place.
| Frovigalning (2), , Sweden does not count - explanation | | February 21, 2009 My favorite pub. Havent found a place that comes close to it. The ambiance is really nice and I like the oakbarrels that are used as tables. Fantastic service and its always fun to have a chat with the bartenders about beer. You can really feel that they are just as interested in beer as you are. The selection is also top notch. Always plently of new and interesting beers to try. I have only eaten here twice so my grading on the food might be off. But thoose two times where really good and the tryffels they serve is excellent! I cant say much about the value. They have the same price as similar pubs in Stockholm. Only slightly above the low quality pubs which I think is fantastic. Overall fantastic, I hope it stays the same forever. | aphalo (4), Turku, Finland does not count - explanation | | February 8, 2009 Really full at noon (lunch hours) and later in the evening, difficulties to find free table from bar’s side. Service is excelent, food is tasty and portions are large enough.
The best part is, that beer selection is simply perfect, with unique trappist imports and great Swedish breweries (especially Närke) - just to mention few.
When in Stockholm, this is The place to be.
