| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Mar 20, 2010 Bottle @ Hashigo Zake Pours amber, off white head. Great retention. Aroma is massive, big passionfruit, rich caramel malt, crazy citrus.
Flavour is big in the passionfruit, the malt body is odd - perhaps a bit thin. A spicy house yeast flavour is there which I get with a lot of Mikkeller beers. The finish is amazingly citric, very lemony.
Wow, almost the best use of NS I’ve tasted, bar Hopwired IPA. j12601 (1706), Poughkeepsie, New York, USA

Probably my favorite of the ones I had on tap that night. Pours a lightly hazy ruby with a medium sized beige head. Big papaya and mango aromas, fresh tropical fruit all over this. Citrus and a nice malt backbone. Smooth finish with some lingering grapefruit. lordeche (405), Quincy, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 19, 2010 Pours hazy honey-color with white head. Aroma of lemony and herbal hops with a strong presence of burnt caramel. Strong bitter herbal flavor with subtle citrus notes; bitterness almost reminds me of a concentrated celery flavor. Slight musty-bready notes. Very distinct. potbeercollege (706), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 18, 2010 Bottle. Cloudy amber orange with white head that sticks around. Aroma of pungent fruit, floral sweetness, light caramel, light earthiness. Taste is light grapefruit juice along with a more easy morning style juice (orange or apple) and caramel. I’d have a glass with breakfast. Starts light sweet and mild and goes nice and dry and medium bitter and citrus and fruit juice finish. tarheels86 (1112), Washington DC, USA

Aroma of red wine, rose pedals, Simcoe like tropical notes. Taste is rose, red wine, mango pulp, unripe mango. Whoa. pantanap (1483), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 12, 2010 12oz bottle from a recent trade with levi. thank you sir...pours a mostly translucent orange caramel brown overflowing with a soapy off-white head... the nose consists mostly of a floral aromatic with hints of citrus, sweet tarts, and a little musty yeast (which fades as i let the glass sit for a bit). reminded me of a fantome saison-like aroma for some reason. hmmm... flavors were of citrus fruit and smarties and not so juicy tropical fruity which alpine nelson which made that special in my eyes. lightly bitter in the finish with a grapefruit rind type of aftertaste although not overbearing. carbonation was pretty high and medium bodied.... this is an interesting experiment done by mikkel and i wouldn’t mind trying some fresh samples of the others. Taste is BITTER!!! On a serious note though, the hops are very pleasant. It sorta mixes with a lime-ish note, that makes it all very curious in a fun and enjoyable way.
