Taste is of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, some smoke and some hops. Nice bitterness in the finish. Nice malt aroma. Similar to the normal Guinness, but with more flavor, not as drinkable, and the head is not as nice. kwoeltje (1320), Manchester, Missouri, USA

I knew it was one of six stouts in the fridge but.....you get the picture. medium plus bodies and pours a photon eating stout. Chewy choco-maltiness. some cereal in the biting nose. Finish is dry and fast. A nice stout. TheBeerOrg (1576), Kentucky, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 23, 2009 Deep ruby tinted brown, would pass for black at a quick glance. Pretty nitro head. Aroma was roasty malt, not much else. Flavor was lightly coffee accented malts, with a pleasant nuttiness present that set it apart from they "typical" Guinness. Not bad, and probably deserving of a better rating than my numbers here indicate. Almost forgot to rate this one! On tap at a random irish pub in Atlanta. zathrus13 (1298), Mount Laurel, New Jersey, USA

Some roast aroma. Small beige head. Black smooth on the palate and a little spicy with a hint of bitterness in a crisp and dry roast finish.
