It poured a golden amber body with a fluffy head that pasted lacework on the glass. The aroma said IPA all the way, strong floral scents and a pungent cirtrus slam. The flavor provided a grainy malt sweetness that provided a nice balance to the strong hop flavors and sturdy bitterness. It finished with a prolonged dry bitterness. Very surprized at the low ABV. I have got to get a hold of more of this brewer’s beers! shawnm213 (1115), South Bend, Indiana, USA

I agree with Frank that I can’t believe this is a such a relatively low alcohol apa. Seemed like a straight up west coast ipa. Pours a clear orange with a small white head. Notes of orange peel, grapefruit, citrusy hops. Refreshing. This was a nice surprise. I liked this quite a bit. Hop forward for sure, but that was what I was in the mood for. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 17, 2010 Growler at the Flossmoor Tasting. Pours a hazy golden orange amber combo, a nice big white head that dies to a film that clings harcore and laces fairly well. Aromas are lemon and grapefruit citrus, pretty big, a pale and caramel malt melange, mixed with a nice citrus and lightly sweet feel. Initial is fairly bitter, citrus hardcore and a touch of dank grassiness, with pale and caramel in competing quantities. Very well balanced, hop slanted of course with dry florals, a touch of dank weed, and heavy citrus, finish bitter, light sweet malt. Frank (1214), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Jan 17, 2010 Sampled this from a growler and, wow, I am surprised to come home and look it up to find it’s squarely in APA range, alcohol-wise. The nose is just huge. I would have guess it was an IPA. Cloudy orange. Head of mixed bubbles. Giant nose of American hops, very piny and peachy. Earthy and slightly sweet. Not terribly bitter and possibly a bit thin, maybe slightly under-carbonated. alagnak (429), Littleton, Colorado, USA

Nose really sings for the style - I tend to find APAs are either bland on the nose or all about caramel - this one has all the components in their prime - grapefruit and pine resin first, then a nice big hit of biscuit and toasty caramel rolls. Taste ois also hop-forward, more citric than the nose with pineapple and light mango showing up. Slightly sweeter than the nose would indicate. Finish is dry and crisp, just a little thin (understandable for the low abv and not really that detracting). This would be a great everyday beer. Thanks, beejay, have been wanting to try this one for a while and wasn’t dissapointed. drpimento (959), La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 23, 2009 Yu- ummmmmmm. GOOD BEER!! Solid beer. Straightforward pale ale. Poured with a nice white head and lots of lace. Color is a clear amber. Aroma is malty, a bit earthy, rotting hay, hoppy, and enticing. Flavors the same but lots more. A tiny bit of citrus which, for me, is passable. Very good body and carbonation. Finish is pleasant and super easy to have another swig. Session beer for sure. Job well done. riversideAK (2979), Shoreline, Washington, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Dec 18, 2009 Bottle from BeerBunker. Thanks Joe. Solid aroma. This is obviously pretty fresh. Nose of grapefruit, pine, floral notes, perhaps some apricot. Fruity, hoppy, and a touch bready and biscuity. Reminds me of a hoppier more assertive Manny’s. Solid. Fuck yeah hoes. Pours hazy golden orange with fantastic head retention. Light but super flavorful. Grapefruit and floral hops dominate. Dry bready and crackery malts add a base, but more hops come through. Piney, leafy, and chewy citrus pith. Light bodied but flavorful as all get out. Refreshing yet chewy, light but super flavorful. This is one solid beer. This is Manny’s more flavorful and interesting cousin. Fuck yeah session ale - gotta love beers that hoarders ignore since you cant cellar an APA unless its barrel aged with brett. A beer like this is fantastic to drink and enjoy, but wont make your world of warcraft cellar points increase, unless you create an application for that, but that would be hella gay. Go session ale, fuck hoarding ho-mos! (Says this while flexing biceps in front of my project building while wearing a mink vest and Kangol hat) BVery (747), Burnsville, Minnesota, USA
