Commercial Description:
110K+ OT Batch #2 is an Imperial Stout dry hopped with Mt. Rainier hops and aged on toasted Spanish Cedar. I.R.I.S. stands for India Russian Imperial Stout and while this brew is still all stout right down to its hefty body, it is hopped a great deal more than our standard stout offerings. The extra punch of kettle hops balances the rich chocolate and malt notes and the Mt. Rainier dry hopping adds slight licorice notes while the cedar contributes to a moderately spicy, burnt and bitter finish. 11.4% ABV. Bottling run 87, 12 bottle cases. 110K+OT Batch #2 I.R.I.S. is a capped 750ml

Bottle shared with MrBunn....Big thanks for this...Pour is a thick syrupy black with a rich dark tan head. Smells strongly of dark chocolate, some wood, pine, a bit of a floral note, and perhaps some leather. Taste is thick chocolate goodness. Some notes of rum and brown sugar exist along with dark fruits and some vanilla. The palate is incredibly smooth and creamy and finishes pretty light on the tongue. Good stuff no doubt.

Shared by Rusty. Thank you sir! Deep black pour with a nice tan head. Big and roasty, with chocolate, coffee, and malt. Then the hops and cedar come through, taking this to a whole new level. Delicious!

Bottle to celebrate my rating #2000 on RB. Huge thanks to Daknole for the amazing trade. The beers pours pitch dark as the darkest night with a creamy forever lasting brown head. Looks fantastic! Heacheesy vy roasty aroma with a good hoppy punch and a great add of espresso coffee. Lighter chocolate notes and caramel. Lots of sweet roasty malt, some oak, lots of chocolate and dark roasted coffee. Good hoppy balance. There is a lot of licorice in the finish as well as sweet roasted malt and tobacco. Very complex and smooth Impy stout.

Poured a thick black color with a brown head. The aroma was very nice. Roasted malt and chocolate with a touch of ash. Roasty malt flavor. The body was a little thinner than I had expected. Light side of a medium body.

2009 Bottle: Pours jet black with a thin brown head that is mostly lasting with nice lacing. Malty aroma is roasty and smokey with hints of chocolate, molasses, and a alcohol presence. Rich flavor is roasty with hints of liquorice and dark chocolate in the mild bitter finish. Has a creamy texture and a tingling spicy mouthfeel. A very good chewy sipping beer.

Shared at a PDX-area bottle tasting. A solid imperial stout, although a little thinner than I expected.
