A black beer with a huge brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of chocolate, alcohol, and cardboard, while the flavor is sweet roasted with notes of chocolate, and a dry roasted end.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Comes close to being pitch-black, completely opaque. Small, light brown head. Nose full of burned malt, flavours full of burned malt and lots of bitterness from the burned malt. Surprisingly light-bodied - almost a bit watery - with a very dry finish. Has some vinous touches. 170705

12 fl oz bottle. Pours pitch black with a medium duration dark brown head. Aroma is distinct hard/dark roasted malt, burned breadish and dark and rich chocolate. Dark roasted to burned malt flavour, solid bitter chocolate and slight tarish. Acidic hard roasted malt flavoured. Bitter, dry and acidic finish. Too hard roasted for my liking.

Extremely black. Very roasty, very malty, very bitter. Full bodied with salty licorice flavour. Is this a schwarzbier on steroids or baltic style porter? I’d say the latter, but in any case it is a good beer. Thanks PsychProf for sending me this rare beer!

Bottled (thanks heemer77!). Very deep brown colour with not much head. Aroma is coffee, roasted malts, some very dark chocolate and mild notes of wood. Flavour is roasted malts, alcohol, smoke and some wooden notes. Also bigtime coffee.

solid black, whispy brown head, lightly sweet chocolate and roasted aroma, creamy body, rich malt flavor with a great chocolate character that just gets richer and richer, a nice bitter roasted finish, hint of fading tartness, much better than the typical alt as it has body and flavor

(WCC2003) Motor oil black body with minimal brown head. This is a coffee beer -- coffee aroma, coffee coffee taste. Some hoppy bitterness too. Medium full body. Lots of coffee in this one. Lots of coffee.
