Pours hazy brown with a white head that recedes to a film. Aroma of coffee, roasted malt, some fruity esters. Taste is crystal malt up front, medium body, coffee shows up in the finish along with herbal hops.

Brown pour with a light tan head. Aroma is coffee, coffee, and coffee! Flavor is similar with some notes of cocoa and vanilla and a nice malty base. Very drinkable!

Sweet cocoa scent pouring dark amber with light carbonation and thin light mocha head. Tastes of heavy coffee with a hint on cocoa that lingers slightly once the coffee fades. not a big fan of coffee flavor myself....so lower score than coffee lovers im sure

UPDATED: APR 2, 2014 Bottle: Thanks, Kevin! Pours a nutty, mahogany brown color with slight clarity, topped with a swampy ecru skin that turns into an actual head when the glass is swirled. Initial aroma has a strange, almost tart dark fruitiness that was throwing me off, but it seems to subside with some warmth/time. Successive inhales bring out rich coffee beans, like sticking your nose into a fresh whole bean bag. Notes of roasted nuts, tobacco, toffee, & dried dark fruits make their way in, too. Taste has a very woodsy essence with a big nuttiness that leads into a huge coffee bean profile. Good mix of roasty & just lightly sweet. Touch of cocoa powder with more coffee & nuts in the finish. Aftertaste has a very slight staleness but nothing too concerning. I know it’s just a brown ale, but a little more creaminess in the body would do this one well. Good flavor for the ABV, not a bad brown at all.

UPDATED: APR 1, 2014 Bottle from a trade. Pours a lighter brown color with a nice head. Faint coffee and caramel smells. Coffee bean flavors really pop out in the taste. Cocoa flavors really linger on. Very drinkable. Great for the style not being my favorite.

On tap at the Vega in Pompano Beach FL. Pours a hazy dark brown with a beige head and aroma of espresso and coffee. Taste is wonderful, heavy coffee throughout, with flavors of roasted malts present as well. A very good coffee brew with a lot of flavor, probably the most coffee taste/aroma I’ve seen in a beer. A nice desert beer.

Bottle thanks to Justin in a recent trade, thanks man! Pour is deep brown with a small off-white head. Aroma is exploding with freshly ground coffee beans, a light creaminess, and a light nuttiness. Not overly complex but really nice if you like coffee. Flavor is caramel-coffee up front with light roasted malt and sweet sugary notes in the middle. The finish is vanilla and hazelnut with light coffee. Certainly coffee forward but not one dimensional.
