Head is initially average sized, frothy/fizzy, light brown, mostly lasting. Body is hazy medium to dark brown, bottle conditioned. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (cookie, toasted bread, caramel), lightly yeasty (cobwebs, basement), with notes of orange zest and coriander. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Quite dry in the finish, more so perhaps than the malt can withstand comfortably. Some aromatic similarity to des Rocs brews (orange-coriander character, whether spiced or not). heemer77 (4340), Savannah, Missouri, USA

The body is dark brown with ruby high lights on the edge. The head is very large with a light khaki color. The aroma is rootbeer with some plums. There are also some peanut notes. The taste has some prunes with anise and some floral notes. The finish has a hint of roast with tea. The body is fairly thin with a low amount of carbonation. A decent and interesting dubbel. Fair display of lacework. Light cloudy light brownish colour. Aroma of ice tee peach, yeast, fruit, grain. Over the palate came brown sugar, caramel, sweet fruit and light toasted malt. Quit nice Abbey Dubbel I thought. Medium bodied with an average carbonation. Moderated sweet flavour light bitter and acidic. Sweet caramel like finish. saxo (3880), Højbjerg, Aarhus, Denmark

Quite mild, sweetish-malty aroma with dried fruit and orange-peel. Bitter-sweet, malty flavor with orange, plums and raisins. Not quite as sweet as the aroma suggests. Medium-bodied, slightly thin, bitter-sweet palate with a bit foamy carbonation. A quite decent, but plain and a bit characterless brune. ratman197 (3444), Arvada, Colorado, USA

Aromas of carmel, spice, fruittiness and brown sugar. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of carmel, vegetal notes and hints of spice with a crisp semisweet finish. This is a very dissapointing Belgian beer!
