Nose is full of pumpkin pie spice: nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice, a little ginger. Color in the little glass is light brown. Taste has those usual nutmeg, cinnamon and other spices, and leaves you to guess whether there’s actual pumpkin in here. But I caught something else: a distinct creamy or fatty impression that immediately made me think of pumpkin pie crust, whipped cream or even a pumpkin mousse. Don’t want call it "buttery" because that’s not diacetyl. A nice surprise for this kind of brew.

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 19, 2006 It’s a hazy orange brew with a short-lived white head. The aroma is all pie spices, nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, and allspice. Not too overwhelming. Moreso in the flavor, but if pumpkin was in the mash, I’m not tasting it. Drinkable, but one was enough for me.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 1, 2006 On tap at my brokers office party. This is the first pumpkin beer I can remember ever having so I don’t have a comparable base to rate this against. Plenty of pumpkin pie spices throughout this brew with cinnamin, cloves, nutmeg among others. Probably would have rated this higher if i thought I could drink another one. msonnenberg (30), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 27, 2006 Liquid pumpkin pie, anyone? The overwhelming pumpkin and cinnamon flavor and aroma were quite good. Not well balanced though, the flavors makes a quick exit in exchange for a rich sugar sweetness. Good autumnal refresher. muzzlehatch (4426), Burlington, Vermont, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 31, 2005 Sample at the brewpub. Hazy-translucent orange-amber with little head...spicy vegetable-fruity nose, pumpkin but also sweet potato, cardamom and cumin....fairly dry body with lots of pumpkin character, malty and lightly herbal, not pie-like at all...sweetness becomes evident near the finish as it warms. robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA
