Gorgeous orange color with obvious strength by how the light is refracted by the thick syrupy body and the numerous bubbles move slowly to the dense perfect white head. Slight chill haze that clears as it warms. Straight ahead hop bomb flavor with a rich malt liquor palate. Finishes sweet and spicy with low percieved bitterness. Very good but a bit sweet for my tastes.

Pours a dark amber body, topped by a very sticky ivory head that left tons of lacing. Aroma of pine, citrus (orange), light toffee sweetness. Flavor is malty, medium toffee/caramel sweetness, Piney bitter and some alcohol. Medium mouthfeel with active carbonation. Medium pine/resin bitter finish. Very balanced all in all. thebarnesbomb (17), Indiana, USA
| 4.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 20/20 | Mar 14, 2010 Technically a Double IPA, but no doubt one of the best IPA’s around. Fruity hops are prominent, but surprisingly well balanced with malts as well. Excellent beer choice of a slightly higher price range! MmmcKay (400), Brentwood, Tennessee, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 14, 2010 Great freaking beer. Not as amazing in my opinion as some other IPA^2, but damn good nonetheless. Excellent malt presence both on tap and in a bottle. There’s an wonderful creamy sweetness that really balances well the hops. Speaking of hops, that’s where I’m kind of disappointed in this beer. It’s not that they get it wrong, but was hoping for some more piney, resinous, stick to your palate hops. Oh well, that’s a stupid criticism anyways. This beer is damn good. johninmelb (711), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 13, 2010 Excellent nose of bubblegum and citrus. Pours medium copper. Flavour is fresh, fruity, bitter and citric with some banana, some cloves, and some pleasing alcohol. A great IPA. Viper666 (721), Greenfield Park, Quebec, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 8, 2010 Dark amber in colour with a big white head. Huge floral hop aroma. A little sweeter than the 60 minute IPA, but still heaps of hops. Big hop flavour with soft hop bitter aftertaste. In NZwould be choice bro!!!! jedinord (18), St. Petersburg, Florida, USA
| 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Mar 8, 2010 Quite possibly one of the near-perfect DIPAs around. Loaded with hoppy goodness, but not unbalanced. You could very easily get into trouble with the 9% ABV, though, since it is so very drinkable.
