Taste is candied bananas, bubble gum, black pepper, dried cherry, and some other spices. I hate the banana flavor. Blech. Not undrinkable, but not enjoyable either. Subtle lemon essence to the nose, a little clove, earthy, straw. Light bodied, watery. Taste has a touch of tart lemon in among the earthy wheat. kiefdog (1784), Tampa, Florida, USA

Pours a cloudy dark yellow to golden color with virtually no head. Aroma is bready, yeast, wheaty with notes of banana, sweet malt and spice. Flavor is much of the same with more prominent banana and slight citrus notes. Generally light bodied with a somewhat sweet, spicy finish. Butters (1783), Virginia, USA

Flavor is sweet and slightly yeasty. Not very cloying on the pallet either. I could certainly session this beer on a hot summer day. Much better than I remember actually. hayduke (1763), Eureka, California, USA

Great lacing for a hefe. Nose of banana and yeast. Good smooth mouthfeel. Flavor or citrus and coriander. Nice long lingering finish. A good solid hefe and true to type. Nice to drink. | 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Jan 6, 2004 Clear golden color and no head, sporadic carbonation. Dusty, husky aroma with sweet malt and citrus overtones. The flavor has an amplified version of the aroma's husky astringency with a metallic finish. Not good. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Jul 24, 2002 Very attractive apprearance, with a dark gold, cloudy body and small bubble head. Initial mouthfeel very much is reminiscent of a strong, wheaty Hefeweizen. However, this beer does not have the strong, annoying wheat aftertaste and is surprisingly drinkable. For those who like a wheat flavor to their beer without the obtrusive aftertaste characteristic of the style, this beer is for you.
