Honey sweet and softly creamy. Quite heady without being harsh or aggressive. It’s perhaps a bit too sweet and lacks balance - there’s not enough bitterness to fully enjoy the experience - but it slips down easy, leaving a citric zesty tang on the lips. Not a bad do at all! Sweet & sticky taste with lots of orange fruits, yeast & a hint of pepper & hops. Alcohol is truly well hidden. Great Triple! HogTownHarry (4060), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada

At Siebel Brewer’s Academy (Goose Island Brewpub, Chicago - Clybourn) Belgian tasting May 24 2007. Clear bubbly gold with a huge creamy/frothy white head. Light aroma, sharply dry and spicy, slightly nutty/candyish malt, mildly boozy. Sweet and spicy flavour, dry somewhat fruity malt (pears), balanced well by what turns out to be only moderate alcohol. Sticky and light mouthfeel, slightly astringent, dry and pleasantly alcoholic finish. A solid tripel. beerguy101 (4002), Newark, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 21, 2004 Medium orange color. Very large foamy frothy head. Aroma is fruity, melons, peppers and bready malts, touches of yeasts (must and leather). Once you get past the enormous head, it’s a medium bodied Belgian Ale. Malts are biscuty, The fruit flavors are orange, melons, and apricots. Slightly spicy. It does an excellent job of hiding the 9% alcohol. The beer finishes with a nice crisp dryness that really contrasts nicely with the fruit and malt flavors. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is crisp and dry. Aftertaste is slightly sweet with a touch of alcohol bite. saxo (3881), Højbjerg, Aarhus, Denmark
