Lighter than expected color, with just a little foam. Fruity aroma, with apricot and yeast. Apricots again in the flavor in addition to a little orange/citrus. Medium mouthfeel, spritzy. Overall, good to very good.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 18, 2010 In the 750 mL bottle. 2008 vintage. Dark gold in color with a medium white head that dies quickly. Strong apple aroma. The flavor lacks the belgian medicinal spiciness that I like. Apple cider flavors. Medium thick palate, but over all, a bit of a disappointment. I can’t see this getting any better with age. Ughsmash (4267), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 1, 2010 750mL bottle. Poured hazy peach with a light cap of off-white head. The aroma picked up sour lemon and pineapple notes over honey and bready malts.. digging deeper, I found cloves and white pepper plus lesser cinnamon and nutmeg.. banana Runts rolled onto the back of the nose. The flavor opened with sour pineapple, lemon, and light metallic notes with banana and honey sweetness behind.. candied banana supported cloves and peppery notes on the finish.. would’ve been really sour at the end if there wasn’t so much sweetness as well. Medium-bodied with a prickly feel across the palate.. balance was OK, but I really didn’t dig the malt bill or the fact that it was quite sharp as it warmed up. Not a good tripel. curly (1071), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA

Taste is more spiced yeast along with gum and bready malts. Pretty sweet and fruity, with Belgian funkiness. hopscotch (5677), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jan 9, 2010 Bottle… Hazy golden ale with a mid-sized, creamy, white head. Good retention. The aroma is sweet, meaty, brothy and spicy. Full-bodied with a slick mouthfeel and tingly carbonation. Sweet, beefy and bready flavor. Lengthy, bittersweet, meaty finish – hot too! kiefdog (1788), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 3, 2010 Bottle from Kahn’s (Indianapolis). Pours a hazy, caramel golden with massive two finger white foamy head. Aroma is sweet, floral, yeast, candy sugar, bread, cider, and honey. Taste is about the same, caramel, toffee, candied apples. Medium body. Floral, sweet finish. PhillyBeer2112 (2106), Oviedo, Florida, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 2, 2010 Courtesy hopscotch. A very nice example of a tripel. Doughy nose with a light spice character and light phenol. Rounded, full and balanced flavor and palate with a good pillowy carbonation leading through to the finish. Still not a style I’m crazy about anymore, but one of the best examples of it I’ve had in quite awhile. GJF (548), Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 9, 2009 It’s not the most groundbreaking tripel, but I found it quite delightful. A bready aroma and the flavor has hints of pear and candi sugar. A bit of banana and clove in a dry finish. It gets slightly cloying as it goes on, but otherwise an excellent beer. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 7, 2009 cloudy orange gold pour with a quick small white head.
Aroma is fruity, apple and some tropical fruit and light bubblegummy tones. Some acidic tartness in the flavour. Apple and even light pineapple tones. Some honey and clove as well.
Alc is well blended though noticable after the finish, and it’s a very drinkable tripel.
