jjsint (7673) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - MAR 18, 2023UPDATED: MAR 18, 2023 Bottle from Total Wine & More, St Petersburg. I used to drink this quite a lot about 20-25 years ago. The pour is a very bright yellow-gold with a tiny, tiny ring of white head. Yeasty aroma, sweet spice, sourdough, candy sugar in the aroma. Taste is seriously sweet, with notes of honey and brown sugar syrup with very light bitterness on the long finish. It isn't complicated and maybe a but too sweet but still a gorgeous Tripel.
chinhaez (405) - Ouray CO, Colorado, USA - JAN 22, 2023UPDATED: JAN 22, 2023 Bottle. Clear golden pour with a medium sized white head that has good retention. The aroma is medium/light with Belgian yeasts, bit of caramel, something floral and a bit of salty spice. The taste, as in the aroma, showcases Belgian yeast, some mild white fruits and a bit of bitter pecans. The palate is full and creamy with soft carbonation. Overall: decent beer. I'm not really a fan of the Tripel style, but this one is worth checking out.
