Alpha Klaus is Alpha King’s cousin. A big American X-mas Porter brewed with English chocolate malt and Mexican sugar and of course tons of strange American hops! Cheers.

Bottle via trade thanks to deliriumfest on BA. Pours jet black and viscous with a large creamy tan head that lasts and leaves great lacing. Aroma is awesome and intense: chocolate, coffee, roast, spice, and floral hops. Flavor is also excellent and just HUGE. Chocolate, roast, and coffee dominate, but there’s also caramel, spices, and loads of floral and piney hops on the finish. Body is full and mouthfeel is a little syrupy but not overwhelming. Overall, this is just excellent stuff. Say what you want about Dark Lord (I say it’s awesome), but if you don’t think Three Floyds is one of the best in the business, in the words of Ice Cube, you better "chiggity-check yo’ self before you wriggity-wreck yo’ self."

Dark brown with a thin tan head and minor lacing. Aroma of dark roasted malts, chocolate, spices and enough of a hop presence to make you notice. Taste of spice, caramel, dark malts, brown sugar, licorice and chocolate. Some hops are mixed and you get a mild bitter finish that’s part hoppy and part dark chocolate. Not bad.

"I’m a sucker for dark well hopped beers and this delivered. Shared by a generous friend, I’m glad to have enjoyed a glassful of this mighty fine porter. Dark body with a huge brown head and good lacing. Roasted malts, nutty, and fruity aromas are intertwined with floral hops. Full bodied, balanced and easy on the palate. Big hoppy flavor of flowers, citrus and pine. Notes of chocolate, burnt toast, caramel and nuts. Damn good."

Bomber, shared by my man Zack Atak in the muthafuzzin’ hizzy, yow! Pours blackish-brownish-ebon with v.v. little head. Aroma is predominantly coffee/chocolate/roast, but is accentuated by hoppy goodness. Flavor follows, with everything in perfect balance. Mouthfeel is silky and substantial with low carbonation. Truly the king of porters.

Bottle. Shared with hallinghansen. Pitch black with a dense tan head. Sweet roasty aroma with barley and fruity hoppy notes. Light tobacco notes and ripe fruit. Light tobacco, dusty fruity hops, roasted malt and spruce. It ends up fruity sprucy hoppy with a good roasty kick. Very nice.
