Bottle. Part of the globalbeernetwork belgian 6 pack. Pours amber with foamy white head. Floral, caramel, yeasty aromas. Nice mouthfeel, smooth with a curious afterbite, citrusy. Flavors are very sweet, malty, spicy. Me likee.

330ml bottle - Pours amber cloudy with a large white head that overblew the tulip several times before I could get it in there. Aroma of spice, yeast, orange and bananna. Flavor is dough, and a touch of spice with a hint of orange peel. On the palate this is quite smooth and drinkable. A nice sour aftertaste becomes pleasant by the end of the beer. Not bad.

Bottle (exactly like the one on the picture), at Tolkien’s House, Zagreb.

Drank from the Augustijn trappist glass. Looks like a tripel (heh). Deep orange, big, thick and persistant head. Tons of bubbles. Spicy aroma, bananas. A complex taste, lemony, fruity and spicy, which gets overwhelmed by the lemony sourness, which dominates the mid to late taste and the aftertaste. Interesting, complex at first, but turns one dimensional. I probably like it more than I should. Had it alongside Duvel, and for some reason unknown, everyone at the table agreed that this was far better (before I said anything). It’s only my second triple (I don’t count that Ch’Ti...thing), so I’m probably giving it more than it deserves, but I can always rerate it. In any case, it’s a great find (it’s only available in that pub I mentioned (in Croatia, I mean)).

Lemon, orange, spiciness, in the acidic aroma. Flavor hits up front fast with very sour fruit, and carries though the whole body of the beer until a quick though satisfying dry finish. Not a terribly complex beer but the sourness is growing on me quite a bit.

750 ml. Deep yellow, some small floaties, nice white head. Fruity aroma with slight alcohol. Malty, with pale malts coming though, and decent fruitiness. Malty flavors linger.

Pours golden with a very large head. Aroma is sweet, reminiscent of honeyed fruit. I get a tiny bit of sourness in the finish. Not my favorite beer.
