| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Apr 24, 2006 I had this draft in, of course, Arizona, as a draft beer at J-Bar in Tucson. Looks like a nut brown. Dark but not opaque, creamy head, some lacing. Some hazlenut flavor, some dark malt, a little hop in the finish, a little light and thin in the mouth. About right for a nut brown, which is far from my favorite style. MrManning (1723), London, Ontario, Canada

Pours dark brown, slightly transparent, with a fizzy medium sized beige head. Aromas mainly consist of roasted malt with a side plate of nuts. Pretty sweet nutty flavours with a punch of hops to try to balance. Litle too sweet maybe. Lacks complexity, but ok for what it is. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 28, 2006 12 oz bottle, via FlacoAlto. Mahogany colored body under a fizzy off-white head that faded quickly. Aroma of toasted malt with a light nuttiness, but also slightly grainy. Flavor is a mix of nuttiness and very light roast. The negative grainy nature of this comes out in the finish. Light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall, average for a Brown Ale and below average in the overall context of the world of beer. KimJohansen (8051), Copenhagen V, Denmark

I’ve had it on tap in Sedona where it’s brewed and thought it was better out of the pipe. Poured a clear light brown with a mild tan head. Taste is simple, light, thin and with strong notes of roasted nuts. Goes down easy enough (I still finished the six pack) but it felt like it was missing something.
