Ratehr sweet and malty body. Dry refreshing finish with a hint of sourness. All right, but not much of a hammer.

Dec 13, 2009 Cask handpull at Samuel Peto, JDW, Folkestone. I expecting quite a lot from this because I generally like White Horse beers. The first time I had this, it seemed to be a jammy fruity ESB, with an ok aroma, and the initial flavour in the mouth wasn’t entirely pleasant, bit of light plastic. Second time I had it, it was less jammy but overall more flavoursome and had lost the plastic edge to it. Decent hops on finish.

Fruity aroma. White head. Amber mid brown coloured floral and slightly citrus flavoured with some alcohol present. Crisp and bitter malt finish.

Nov 24, 2009 Cask at the Thomas Lloyd (JDW), Warwick. Reddish copper with a loose cream head; autumn berry aroma; dry, biscuity body with autumn fruit flavours; and a deeply bitter finish. A very pleasing session bitter.

Nov 24, 2009 Cask in the alfread herring. Alround rating: Biscuity malt is subtle, toffee and caramel sweetness come through fairly strong, grassy and herbal hop, bit of dusty pepperyness in the finish, its on the sweetside of balance, and right when im at the end of the glass i start to get chocolate malt notes. A rollercoaster of a beer.

Nov 23, 2009 Cask conditioned handpump Cordwainer Northampton. A copper coloured beer with an off-white coloured head. A fruity hedgerow berries dominated beer in the nose whereas the taste is sweet and sour. Not altogether pleasing but drinkable enough.

Nov 18, 2009 Cask at The Bankers Draft (JDW), Bedford. Gold with a white head. Roughish, sweaty malt aroma and taste with some grassy hops and a mid bitter finish. Not at all bad.
