Commercial Description:
Deep golden amber in color, our Oktoberfest is brewed with generous blends of imported malt and hops. This Limited Edition Lager is delightfully balanced and very smooth. A perfect complement to autumn!

Location: 12 oz Bottle from Norm’s, Sept ’08

Overall Impression: I enjoyed this one, had a great nose, some malty caramel flavors, and a solid taste that makes you feel like autumn.

(bottle from bhensonb, thanks!) Pours a hazy copper color with a tall white head that quickly dissipates to nothing. Aroma is toasted barley, cracked walnuts, caramel, and red delicious apple. Taste is caramel, toasted barley, something a bit sour (apple skin), and finishing out with a toasty and tart finish. Mouthfeel is medium and carbonation is medium as well. I think this one may be a little infected.

picked a sixer up for a steal... ended up drinking all but one on 11/29/2009. it pours an amber-copperish-honey brown color with a small tan tinted off white head. aromas of toffee, spice, earthy yeast, chocolate, toasted nuts, copper, cooked orange peels and dry woody hops. the medium body is very malty and smooth.... rich for the style with a nice dry spicy kick. it is refreshing with a mildly bitter finish and flavors of caramel, sweet grain, chocolate and toasted cashews. nice surprise... i thought this was going to be terrible but it turns out to be well done. 7/3/7/4/16/3.7

Dee[ amber color with an off white head. Minimal lace. Aroma is of sweet malts. The flavor leans towards malt as it should in this style. Slightly more hoppy than I would expect from an Octoberfest but overall a pleasent beer.

Pours a clear amber with a thick white head. This beer has a faint aroma of grapefruitty hops and malt. The taste, likewise, is of fairly bland malt with a hint of grapefruit and plain old hops bitterness. It’s pretty balanced and overall a good beer, but there’s nothing particularly exceptional about this beer.

Bottle. Pours a golden amber body with a white head. Malty body with a cracker toned malt body, waffers, some light bread y yeast tones. A light earth toned hoppiness with some light nuts and floral yeast.

Bottle. Malt forward aroma of fresh baked bread, light yeastiness. Flavor has lightly toasted grain, overriding caramel sweet notes. Finish has just a bit of herbal hoppiness. Pretty good American Oktoberfest. Liquid bread with just a bit of hops for balance.

Pours a deep bright golden orange. Nose of brown sugar and bread. Taste is bland, watery, slight corn flavor, decent graininess, cereal grain, light biotterness.

Bottle:   Fiery amber, quite clear, moderate foamy off-white head, decent lacing, light carbonation.   Soft malty nose, seems slightly sweet, a little bit of honeycomb cereal.   Somewhat mealy on the tongue, certainly malty, moderately sweet, clean, with a finish that lingers with sweet malts and a bit of creamed honey.   A pleasant sweet lager.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate, even smooth and a bit creamy.   Only thing I would say that detracts is its resemblance to a cereal.   Tone down the sweetness a bit and I think then we’ve got something.   Thanks toJah Noth for the bottle!
